Ma non è per tutte, perché niente puó essere per tutte. E quest’ultimo punto è un dato relativo all’onestà e all’etica professionale dell’insegnante: mai illudere le allieve che non potranno fare della loro passione un mestiere, lasciando credere loro il contrario. Ogni arte, sport, mestiere, richiede attitudini e peculiarità specifiche. Vogliamo chiedere al Maestro Muti se la musica è per tutti? … immaginiamo già la risposta! Questo perché la musica richiede doti, talento e determinazione, al pari della danza. Diventare professioniste non è cosa da tutte. È un percorso arduo e decisamente selettivo. Amiamola, pratichiamola e frequentiamola in ogni luogo, ma rimanendo, al riguardo, sempre oneste con noi stesse e con gli altri. TEACHER ANNOUNCEMENT 💎🧡 Our fantastically wonderful Lorna of Cairo is back at DaNce JoY! Lorna has been performing and teaching Egyptian style bellydance professionally since 1996. She is currently based in Scotland, UK after living & performing in Cairo for 10 years! In Egypt, Lorna starred on The Nile Maxim boat, Zamalek. Previously she was the first ever contracted dancer at the prestigious 5-star Fairmont Nile City Hotel, where she performed regularly at the oriental Bab El Nil restaurant. Prior to that Lorna was the star of the Nile Pharaoh boats from 2006. Mark is an international Fusion and “Baystyle” instructor, dj, and organizer hailing from California. When he is not traveling he is based out of the SF Bay Area, where he runs the Fusion Dance Academy. His social dancing career started with Lindy & Blues in 2005, and he has since studied Tango, WCS, and a dozen other dances. He has been teaching since 2006, much of that focused on the Fusion scene with its emerging forms and conventions, teaching workshops all over the world (and in two languages). He is at the forefront of shaping what Fusion is and what it can become, and one of the original codifiers of “Baystyle”. Dance is my big hobby, and here in New York, a year ago, I discovered a dance that's just right for me, as well as a great community of people 💃 The dance is called Fusion 🤩 I regularly attend events and workshops organized by Arielle and Brendon @thepearlingprinciple @the.arielle.filter That's how it happened that I started planning a joint exhibition with Arielle, who is also an artist. But how do you get paintings to a dance event in a studio where there is little light and no way to hang the paintings? 🧐 We came up with a projection! 🚀 I am absolutely thrilled about how the initially less-than-ideal circumstances sparked our creativity. Arielle creates watercolor paintings, often painting directly during the dance event, and I paint and draw emotions and experiences from dance in the studio. So how do we connect different approaches, styles, and colors? At first, I tried to align all outputs to similar color schemes. I felt that it wasn't quite right. After consulting with Arielle, I decided to add a bit more color. I also want to thank Arielle for trusting me to make radical digital adjustments to her work 😊 Artificial intelligence in Photoshop sped up the editing process—for example, I needed to convert portrait images into landscape format for creating a wide-angle video. Eventually, I created a slow-motion video that merged our creations into one whole. Just as we look for ways to connect with each other while dancing. Pas à pas jusqu'à la scène Retour d'expérience après 6 mois de ce programme juste génial ! @pas_a_pas_programme est proposé par 4 danseuses généreuses @obambiines @soraya.danceandresearch @bellydancehayal @juliettevale.dance Entre les différents ateliers, j'ai pu expérimenter, rechercher des mouvements pour affirmer mes choix, mon propos, continuer à réfléchir à ce que je voulais mettre en avant dans ma danse. Les retours ont été enrichissants, constructifs et faits en tout bienveillance pour faire ressortir ce que je pouvais faire à ce moment. La rencontre à Paris a été intense. Ce que je n'avais pas prévue, ce sont ces rencontres avec toutes ces danseuses ! Une vraie communauté ! Je me suis sentie entourée, portée. J'ai été émerveillée par toutes ces créations, cette gentillesse et cette force ! J'avais envie de partager le processus de création, le chemin parcouru entre les 1ers brouillons et la scène. Assumer son propos sera l'expression que je souhaite conserver de cette expérience ! La découverte de toutes les danseuses aura été la plus belle des surprises de ce programme !
