Not long ago I had an opportunity to work with young and talented sprinter @sean_aig - here are some samples of the results we got. As always with my sport portraits I was trying to get a mix of dynamic and static poses. With portable Godox strobes I wanted to underexpose background and focus light on the athlete. I am grateful to Sean for all his patience - I could test different ideas during our shoot. I used Nikon Z8 camera and two lamps setup, Godox AD600 pro with light modifiers. I like shadows and lights a bit harsher, especially with sports themed photos. In sport portraits I try to combine traditional portrait photography and dynamic action shots. Using outdoor strobes and high speed sync I can underexpose background, freeze motion and focus all attention on the athlete. In this particular case nature helped a lot providing truly dramatic clouds as a background.
