🏳️🌈 Roseann O’Donnell, known professionally as Rosie O’Donnell, was born March 21,1962 in Commack, NY, USA. Rosie is a Television Host, Blogger, Actor, Author, Radio Host, Entrepreneur, Mother, Producer, and above all else, a Humanitarian. O’Donnell was only 4 days away from her 11th birthday when her mother, Roseann Teresa, passed away from breast cancer. O’Donnell toured from 1979-1984 playing comedy clubs across the USA. Over the succeeding years O’Donnell has had recurring roles on such TV shows as: “Queer As Folk”; “Nip/Tuck”; “The Fosters”; and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. She has also guest-starred in such shows as “The Nanny”; Ally McBeal”; “Will & Grace” and “Judging Amy”. She has appeared in numerous hit movies such as “A League of Their Own"; “Sleepless in Seattle” and “The Flintstones”. Rosie has written and published a number of books; had her own magazine; released a Rosie Barbie doll, and a cuddly plush talking Rosie doll; brought Boy George’s “Taboo” to Broadway, and is a collaborative partner in a GLBT family vacation business. She has worked for numerous charitable organizations and has been an advocate for GLBT+ issues, Autism, gun control, children’s issues, and various other issues. O’Donnell donated $1 Million after the September 11/2001 terrorist attacks to aid in rescue efforts. Rosie set up her own charity called Rosie’s For All Kids Foundation which has awarded more than $22 million to over 900 nonprofit organizations for Early Childhood Care and Education programs. O’Donnell’s most recent television work has been a guest shot on the Amazon series, “A League of Their Own” and as Detective Sunday on the TV series adaptation of “American Gigolo”. 🏳️🌈
