There is just something about working with black ink that I love. Maybe it’s because of how dark & messy it is - you don’t want to stain stuff but 😩😩 idk, I just like playing in it 😹 Anywhomst - I love painting so much 🥲 this was literally one of those nights I had to use quite a bit of self control to stop painting and get ready for bed 😭😹 if I could, I would do absolutely nothing but paint all day 😹 I LOVE it. When I get to just put in headphones and really focus 🫠🫠🫠 I love that shit. LOVE IT. Also, upon further speculation (I.e. I had had an appropriate amount of water, hadn’t eaten anything in a while, and they were properly cooled off - the cookies are actually better than I thought & really good ! Art, books, music, I truly appreciate the strides in technology that have made all of these more accessible, but damnit if I don't love the mess of art, the smell and feel of paper books, and the crackly imperfectly perfect sounds of a vinyl record. The increasing desire for instant gratification, perfection, and a certain level of filtered reality has always had me feeling out of place in this world. I like the mistakes, the small dreams, the imperfections of life and my work, and the absolute mess of it all, give me graphite smeared sides of my hands, paint under my unmanicured nails, and plaster in my hair, you can have your CTRL Z.
