Slow fashion brand @hairymarylondon drops a repurposed sportswear collection ‘Chillie Mary’ in collaboration with vintage store and 90s streetwear specialists @chillielondon . The Portobello Road-based campaign reveals a reworked Chelsea FC 18/19 jersey beautified with lighter blue doilies and silk cascading from the shirt’s hem. ‘The idea of bringing life back into these fabrics, especially in this fast fashion world we live in, makes a lot of sense. Chillie seemed like the perfect place to work with as [the store] is brimming with vintage sportswear which this collection is championing,’ Hairy Mary founder Rosie Barton tells SEASON. The designer only uses deadstock, unloved, and secondhand materials, and her previous ‘The Sporty Spice Strip’ collection featured cropped pre-owned jerseys from Arsenal, Columbia, and more.
