Ghent, Belgium - 14th Dec 22’ Ghent still has my heart ❤ ️I consider this the first city I travelled solo to ever. Before this I had travelled alone within Belgium once but only for study purposes. When you google Ghent, it looks straight out of a storybook. And I made it a point to go there no matter what. So to stand at this very place kind of took me aback. Die Burg Grebenstein geht in ihrem hautigen Erscheinungsbild auf das Jahr 1200 zurück. Mit einem wirklich kurzweiligen, sehr amüsanten Audioguide kann man das Gebäude auf eigene Faust erkunden. Mich hat vorallem der unglaublich gute Zustand des gesamten Objektes beeindruckt. Die Wasserburg wurde in ihrer langen Geschichte nie zerstört, lediglich die historische Ausstattung ist teils verloren gegangen. --- In the middle of the historic old town of Ghent, you will inevitably come across the imposing castle of the Counts of Flanders. Grebenstein Castle dates back to the year 1200. You can explore the building on your own with a really entertaining, very amusing audio guide. I was particularly impressed by the incredibly good condition of the entire building.
