This is not a juvenile straight up mango scent from the opening, it’s very complex! The mango does become more prominent after the opening settles and in comes an airy sweet creaminess that tangoes with the mango! The ginger is very subtle and plays nicely in the background adding depth with a nice little spicy kick. The coconut adds more milkiness to the creaminess and the dry down brings a warm woody musky air that still holds onto the fruitiness! SCENTS OF WOOD NFT2 Have you ever seen this one before? 💬 ⏪ With NFT3 being released soon (only available as part of the subscription; I'll explain a bit more below the review), it's time to talk about NFT2; unfortunately one that didn't speak to me much, although I think a lot of people would like this. ▶️ NFT2 is by Caroline Dumur and came out last year. The notes are as follows: aldehydes, rose, milk accord, vetiver, pyrazine & cashmeran. Now, don't let the aldehydes and rose fool you; to my nose, this is one of the more traditionally masculine leaning offerings from Scents of Wood, with vetiver and roasted popcorn being the main facets. Pyrazines give the scent a burnt, nutty and toasted quality that adds scents reminiscent of popcorn, coffee and an earthy woodiness. While the vetiver feels more diffusive here, with a relatively green edge to it. Much more roasted and green than One Day Seoul, probably more roasted and gourmand-ish than Eight & Bob Nuit de Megeve and also more gourmand leaning than Superfumista Terra Moka. Those are all vetiver-coffee scents, whereas NFT2 really feels more like popcorn. The combination doesn't always work for me and here, with the milkiness, the nutty burnt wafts and the greenness, I found it a bit of a chore to wear. ℹ️ For those that don't know, the NFT subcription started last year; I think a lot of people misunderstood it. It was a great deal no matter how you look at it; you get tokens to trade in for 4 bottles (either the NFTs or others of choice), at a big discount. I'll get all the NFT's regardless to review them. NFT1 (by Pascal Guarin) happened to be my favorite Scents of Wood thus far. Unfortunately I missed out on the voting process last times (I've had some issues with getting Scents of Wood shipped, that seem to be resolved now). Last week I received 3 samples to vote on, one of which will become the upcoming NFT3 (by Julien Rasquinet); this is now called the Creator's Club and it's a fun interaction with the brand that comes with the subscription. There's 1 in particular that I really enjoyed, although I have a feeling another may win the vote. We will have to see!🤞

Pear Gelato 🍐🍦: sapevo sarebbe stato il mio preferito, ma non potevo immaginarmi un'apertura così golosa. Un cono biscottato e, quasi per magia, il "sapore" del gelato alla pera. Si assesta quasi subito in un delicato e dolce skin scent. Leggero e sbarazzino. Cherry Powder 🍒: non come me l'aspettavo. Più "powder" che "cherry". Dalle note pensavo ad un cremoso milkshake alla ciliegia. La ciliegia la sento poco e, comunque, è una ciliegia matura che fa solo da contorno a note talcate che la fanno da padrone. But as winter turns to spring and the temperatures get higher and higher, Dolce Vita is sometimes a bit too suffocating for me. During the summer, I have been replacing it with the citrus-fresh YSL Cinéma (in all possible versions) for years. For the transition between spring and summer I chose this time Cinéma Scenario d'Ete . It is not as sweet as Dolce Vita, but still “dolce” enough. It’s my spring and summer piece of lemon cake!
