"Not Blind Enough" 2017 I paint, and draw, and doodle, and sketch, and sculpt... eyes. They are always open. I cant help but feel that I'm not blind enough to ever feel comfortable just living in this place. Every where there are things that dont make sense... but, people can just seem to accept them. Decisions people make are weird... they make them based on other peoples feelings, but tell themselves that they made the best decision for themselves. Then they struggle with that decision... this is all pretty vague. One other question... Is algebra really necessary to teach as a required class in schools? I'm 43 helping my kid with his homework, and I realized the last time I ever used algebra was when I HAD to do it in high school. Food & drink for thought. I have a couple chapters left in Murakami's "Hard-Boiled Winderland At The End Of The World" There are a lot of little thoughts in this book that I feel are relatable. The idea of escaping something, and not succumbing to it... anyway, great book! I don't want to ruin it. I just started Rushdie's "The Satanic Verses" which I found at Goodwill, which sounds weird to say, fo $2.02 And I'm almost 1/3 of the way through Barkers "Everville" I first started reading this book after i got out of High school almost 25?... geeze... yeah, wow. "Untitled" this is embarrassing. This is what happened yesterday. I was so annoyed and angry with this painting I was doing... so i just went off on it. When my wife got home she just looked at it and said... "what it looks like to me, is that you started to paint a colorful pretty picture... and then you got mad." Which was EXACTLY what happened. I knew in that instant that I could convey feeling in my paintings. I just need to figure out the technical aspects of painting. It also made me think of the ways I've destroyed other beautiful things in life out of anger and frustration.
