The constant repetitive thought patterns looping over and over keeping me in fear and projection. I experience the dominance of the mind in our modern world. It is so easy to get pulled into its traps. My heart yearns to shine through, to uplift, and remind me what is pure and true. There is only so much I can resist. Through surrendering, I remember that at each moment I have a choice. Which wolf will I feed? Will I open to the guidance of my heart or will I follow the downward spiral and path of the mind that keeps me fully separate and alone. • Musically this is a journey through many landscapes of sounds and inspirations. ⚡️7 days until Heart Storm drops ⚡️ • Today I want to highlight my sweet sister @sandrayatifay who is such an incredible musician with a otherworldly voice that cuts right to the heart. • When I first heard her sing it sent shivers though my spine... such honestly and talent mixed with playfulness and presence. I immediately felt that she could bring something really special to my song Seed. It just so happened that she grew up and lived in Bali and that is where I was doing the recording for my album. I invited her to sing on the song and she graciously accepted the invitation. • The day she arrived at the studio I was so excited and filled with anticipation. We had never sung together and hadn’t rehearsed anything for the song. I was riding a wave of trust and surrender knowing that in this place of mystery magic happens. As soon as she sang tears were flowing down my cheeks it was deep and sincere. I had plans to record Seed for years, but it never worked out. Got to keep the faith! * I wrote these lyrics during a significant transition point in my life. I had recently ended a twelve-year relationship that was fraught with challenges, learning, and growth. I felt like I had turned a new page and was beginning to feel myself again. I was born at sunrise on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains is a place called Golden. The life-giving energy of the sun has guided my path and illuminated the way.
