Era una espècie de patata amb ulls, boca, nas... semblant al Mr. Potato. 🖋️El dibuix estava firmat per en Jim Mckenzie. 🤪🥔☺️ Potato Face ☺️🥔🤪 One of the things I love about LA is the diversity of people you meet and their interests, and therefore things you get to experience. Our amazing exec assistant @melissaximena is an incredible writer and poet, and her husband @jimmckenzie is an incredible sculpture artist (hopefully the right term 😅). He also put together an incredible short film that includes the infamous (and apparently super nice!!) @actordougjones and @realdeeproy that he premiered tonight, called Potato Face. He handcrafted most of the props in the movie, in some of the pics I included. Also some of his other stop motion/making-of videos are mesmerizing, you gotta check them out!! The premiere was hosted at the @coprogallery in the @bergamotsantamonica , both of which are incredibly cool spots on their own that you should also check out if you're around. So one of the truly amazing moments for me in California that helped a lot after my grandmother had passed was I managed to be able to coordinate a visit with the incredible, awesome, superb of a human; Jim freaking McKenzie! Seeing the magical creations all around brought me so much joy during a time that I was hurting with the loss in my life. @jimmckenzie did me the great honor and assistance in repairing the bird from my Scarecrow statue that had met with an unfortunate accident and broke. He fixed, he glued and he painted the little guy and it feels even more special now. I truly am so thankful for this moment that was simply amazing for me. He was also so very welcoming and the sweetest with my mother who accompanied me for the visit. Jim, it truly did fill my heart up that you were not only willing to meet up, allow me to visit your working grounds, but also fix the bird completely. Thank you for being who you are. This really meant a lot. I was also so extremely happy to be able to see the Carrot Foot in person! Such an incredible piece! Freaking love that foot lol. Then seeing Potato Face!!
