Heading home today from a three week stay with family in Mexico. It’s always hard to leave for obvious reasons but this year there were many different things for me. One being by week 3 I’m physically ready to go home. I always crave so many of the amazing foods when we arrive and I’ve always eaten so much. Doing that had always caught up with me by week two and I would get terribly sick and spend the end of our stay with awful GI problems. Combine that with our families eating schedule I was always so “hungry” and craving foods from home. This year I put certain things off limits like salsa and other fresh produce. That combined with my amazing tool provided three weeks of normal food enjoyment and no disruptive GI issues. Activity, I was physically able to do and explore so many things I could have never done before. I had the energy and stamina to truly enjoy my time. Mood, no awful, uncontrollable, disruptive anxiety. No dread of my return to reality. No guilt of the things I might have missed out on. I feel refreshed and excited to continue on my journey and head back to reality. I spent a lot of time thinking, planning and brainstorming how I want to continue my journey at home. I have so many ideas and I’m excited to bring them to fruition.
