So I got sudden inspiration and unpacked some of my drawing stuff in order to create this. So some of you know I drew Yavanna, from the Tolkien mythos. And I thought doing Varda, Queen if the Valar next. But I started 2 other drawings of her before this, I didn't like either of them half way through. I was going over some references and inspirations I save to my phone and remembered I save a screenshot of these lovely turn of the century whimsical crown, which when I was it I immediately thought elf queen or something Tolkien inspired. I also took inspiration from a lovely art nouveau pieces I saved to my phone a while back for the pose since I was having such a hard time with that. I rather like how this turned out. Ich weiß, ich weiß… es hat viel zu lange gedauert, bis ich die Rezi hierzu poste, aber besser spät als nie 🤷🏻♀️ Der Hobbit ist einer dieser typischen Klassiker, die meiner Meinung nach jeder Fantasyfan gelesen haben sollte… und es ist absolut zeitlos. Bilbo ist nicht der typische Held und das macht sicherlich auch einen Großteil des Charmes dieses Buches aus. Diese Gemütlichkeit und dann gleichzeitig seine Tapferkeit fand ich wirklich eine tolle Kombination, vor allem, wenn man bedenkt, dass das Buch 1937 erschienen ist 📖 Die Edition, die ich hier habe, war etwas teurer, aber dafür sind alle möglichen Skizzen darin enthalten, was ich wirklich großartig fand. Toller Plott, Spannung, eine Welt zum Versinken… was will man mehr? Nach einer turbulenten Woche (privat und beruflich) gab es für meine Seniorin zwar jeden Abend eine Dosis Herr der Ringe, aber weniger Illustrationen. Einerseits fehlte mir die Muße, mir passende Prompts auszudenken, andererseits musste ich feststellen, dass die Episode in Henneth Annûn eine Art Auszeit für Frodo und Sam waren, in der es wenig zu "sehen" gab. Es war mir auch hier gar nicht mehr gegenwärtig, dass Faramir bei Peter Jackson eine ziemlich armselige Rolle spielen musste, während er bei Tolkien sehr stark, empathisch und als Anführer beschrieben wird, der für Frodo binnen eines Tages zu einem sehr guten Freund wurde. Und dann kämpfte ich auch noch mit Midjourney bzw. mit meinem Unvermögen, die richten Prompts für die Bilder in meinem Kopf zu finden. Es war mir nicht möglich, das zerbrochene Horn von Boromir zu "finden" und auch das Fenster des Westens wurde nicht so, ich mir das vorstellte. Ein kleiner Seitensprung zun DALL-E half dabei etwas, aber auch nicht so wirklich. Settant'anni fa, dopo ben dodici anni di lavoro e altri cinque di trattative, uscivano nelle librerie inglesi, editi dalla Allen & Unwin, la prima edizione de "La Compagnia dell'Anello" e de "Le Due Torri", seguite un anno dopo da "Il Ritorno del Re"; finalmente, il grande pubblico accedeva al tanto atteso seguito de "Lo Hobbit" (1937), la fiaba che aveva reso celebre il genio di J.R.R. Tolkien, il quale, con la celeberrima trilogia, si consacrava fra i più grandi scrittori non solo della letteratura inglese, ma di tutto il mondo.
