Sećam se kada je, pre nekih 15ak godina, Kodak objavio da prestaje sa razvijanjem Kodachrome-a i prašine koja se podigla oko toga, kada su ljudi širom sveta prelazili nenormalne razdaljine do Dwayne’s Photo, malog porodičnog biznisa koji je postao kao Meka za fotografe koji su jurili sa razviju poslednje filmove. Nećete verovati, ali i ovaj film je snimljen na 35mm Kodak-u! Nevezano za film, ali jedan od poslednjih ljudi koji su došli po slike je bio i Jim, železnički radnik koji je doneo 1.580 rolni i platio $15,798 da razvije oko 50,000 slika - na svima su bile šine, vozovi i ostali aspekti jedne strasti ovog čoveka! Ovaj film je inspiraciju pronašao u članku koji je lepo zaokružio priču o kraju jedne ere, budući da je poslednja rolna otišla Steve McCurry-ju, poznatom fotografu na kome je baziran lik Eda Harisa - mislim da su svi upoznati sa ovom njegovom fotografijom: slide na drugu sliku mog posta. New film camera to use on base!! The airsta’s Canon T70 winding motor failed in February and one of my firefighter colleagues kindly donated this pristine camera for us to continue the film project at Airsta Miami. This thing is as old as me, but looks brand new!! The 35-70mm doesn’t work, but that should be an easy replacement. I’m excited to use the 50mm on it, has a roll of #ilfordfp4 black and white loaded right now.
