I’ve been a bit quiet on the socials and the truth is, I think I just needed a break. Dealing with the festive madness, markets and life in general. I decided to allow myself some time. It’s been so important to restore some balance and reflect on how far things have come and the amazing people I have met. It’s taken such a long time to put myself out there, anyone who knows me knows how scary that was (I’m my own toughest critic). But I remind myself, everything is handmade by me, from my home outside my normal life and job. I love this hobby and passion, sewing for all our beautiful fur babies. Fills my cup. I’ve realised it’s important to take risks, celebrate the wins and learn from the losses. Honestly my heart is full with love from the support of you amazing friends, long may it continue. 💛 I will be back in the next couple weeks with some fun new summery collars and bandanas. 💛 Throw back Thursday! 💛. The original and where it all began for ‘La Dogce Vita’. To be fair it’s still my favourite, The Autumn Fall Bandana. 🍂 My first ever ‘offical’ custom made bandana for the public. Believe it or not it took a lot for me to put myself out there 😌 (AND to be completely honest if it wasn’t for the push and support of my partner @matthewblank89 and one of my favourite humans @amelia.ski.fun ) I really think this would have gone no where. A couple months down the track, I have raised into the hundreds on donations to the NZ SPCA and I couldn’t be more happy. All this done on my Nannas 36year old sewing machine that I inherited, every piece I make brings me closer to her and feels like home. 🤍 She would be so happy to know the joy around this all. Let’s talk about cleaning….. Earnie is a grub, if there is mud he is playing in it! 🐾 I’m constantly having to clean him and his handmade collars. I highly recommend The Tent House in Cromwell. Not only do they do incredible treats for the paw parents, they do a specific pet soap. It’s all natural, made locally with no nasties!
