This luxury alpaca scarf, by Liz Christy, is OOAK â âone of a kindâ, and the colour is Maewest. It is hand-woven from the fibre of the gods. It is even more special as the animals whose fleeces became this precious thread were born and bred in the lovely county Monaghan, by Glaslough Alpacas. Liz worked her magic in the dye pots, by hand-dyeing warp for this scarf. **Connemara Design Story* The Connemara Design Story is an ongoing project. Every year we make seven limited edition, traditional crafts exclusively for our shop. Each design only lasts for a year, and are often sold out well before the end of the season. One of the designs this year is a handwoven scarf made by Liz Christy. We call it the Connemara Bog Scarf, inspired by our unique bog landscape. We chose a herringbone design to match the patterns found after a bog has been traditionally cut.
