We just had (just- 2 weeks ago) our first BBQ of the year! We went to our secret, not so secret, favourite lake in the Wales ...*insert drumroll here* Llyn Geirionydd. I've been living here in Wales for about 6 years and when I tell you I still struggle to pronounce it. Anyways, the water was still too cold to swim in , not that my brave boys didn't attempt it 😂 But it was a perfect day for a BBQ. We set our place up , poured ourselves a drink and decided to have a walk around the lake. Word of advice. If you do plan on coming here in any given time- sun sets behind the hills here much earlier. So it will be visible but you will be much cold at the end of the day. So make sure to start prepping the food earlier on. If you are coming here to forage, we found lots of blueberry bushes on the other side of the lake. Lots of paths to choose from and explore. The great outdoors has become my sanctuary in lockdown, with the gyms being closed.
