I’m tired. I’m tired of people saying it is idealistic to believe that we can lay down our hate and live in peace. I’m tired of people excusing horrific behavior as ‘our nature’. And I’m tired of deeply held beliefs that divide us. So many people believe in something that puts them at an advantage and reduces others. Why? Can we not accept one another without trying to diminish each other? Why should we continue to believe things that harm others? Things that preach hate and sow divisiveness are not what we should be considering sacred or divine. Sacred and divine means walking on this earth gently, understanding the ripples you make, and working to be sure the ripples are positive. Sacred and divine respects all. All beings. Sacred and divine can only be of love. There is no concept of hate. No reason to kill. When do we turn from everything thing, and everyone, that tells us to judge another, or shame another, or kill another? Who could we be if we silenced all the voices and things that create divisions? MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH 💚 When I separated from Corporate America 19 months ago, my self identity went into crisis mode. It was all I knew to do my entire life and I felt lost. I went down my rabbit hole, 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I had already started doodling during the pandemic as a means to self express my emotions. Fast forward to today….I had wanted to be an artist since I was a kid but the stars were not aligned. Now, I feel they are coming together ✨✨✨ I wouldn’t be in a position of 3 steps forward and one step back (I hope to continue growing 😉) if it weren’t for my closest supportive friends, family and my amazing therapist @musicpsychotherapy I believe when you need to be lifted, seek and allow the help.
