La nébuleuse d’Orion #M42, la star de l’hiver revient après un nouveau traitement. Cette pouponnière d’étoile dans la constellation du même nom est proche de nous à « seulement » 1350 AL (en allant à 1% de la vitesse de la lumière ce qui est impossible aujourd’hui il faudrait 135000 ans pour l’atteindre) Elle a une dimension de 24 AL (environ deux cent cinquante mille milliards de km). Elle abrite de très jeunes étoiles qui viennent juste de naître. Ces étoiles très actives ionisent les nuages de gaz environnants et les chauffe à des températures de l’ordre du million de degrés, ce gaz chaud émet de la lumière que l’on voit sur l’image (mais aussi des rayons x !!). Des nuages de poussière plus sombres masquent une partie de la lumière de la bulle #M43 ou nébuleuse de Mairan, l’ensemble surplombe la nébuleuse de l’homme qui court #NGC1977 en bleu en bas de l’image. Si on dézoomait on pourrait voir que cet ensemble fait partie du grand nuage d’Orion qui couvre une partie de la constellation et contient d’autres merveilles comme la tête de cheval. Côté technique 72 poses de 120s sur #takahashi fc-76ds équipée en #zwo AM3, 533 MC-pro et 120MM en guide. Traitement #pixinsight #RCAstro #lightroom
