Throw back to a very fun 2023 market season with my pottery bestie Monika of @mildtofuceramics by my side, making every market a blast! ✨ Market season was a very fun and busy one, with more exciting market appearances coming up in 2024! And while it may have been quiet on here, it has surely been busy behind the scenes these first few months of 2024. So here’s a bit of a life update, if you’re interested. As you know, I am a potter, but you may not know that I am also a project manager for a design-build firm, working on commercial interior projects. I love how project management brings together my organizational and practical problem solving skills to bring creative design projects to life, while also utilizing my communication skills with clients and trades on site. And while I have been focusing on a few exciting construction projects these past few months, I have also been taking on another new exciting challenge, and a way of growing my communication skills…..by teaching at Mudlab pottery!! Having taught one-off workshops for the past year with Mudlab, @andresxjoseph the owner of Mudlab has coached me and given me the amazing opportunity to teach a 6 week beginner throwing class on Saturday mornings in our little pottery community that I absolute adore @mudlab.ca ! It has been a ton of fun and a super rewarding experience to see students come in with no previous pottery experience, and leave on week 6 with functional pieces they are proud of creating.
