Let’s dive into ovulation bleeding! 🩸 🤔 First off, WHAT is ovulation spotting? Ovulation occurs when the egg is released from the ovary. Leading up to ovulation, estrogen levels rise preparing for the follicle to release. Ovulation bleeding is typically caused my a slight drop is estrogen levels right before ovulation, which can trigger the endometrium lining to shed a little, resulting in minor spotting. Only about 5% of women experience ovulating bleeding. This type of spotting is light bleeding that occurs within 1-2 days of ovulation. Some women experience it monthly, while others will only experience it every now and then. Some women do not experience ovulation spotting at all. Ovulation bleeding is much lighter than a normal period. The spotting can be so light that the blood is mixed with cervical mucus, rather than free flowing. This creates a light pink or dark brown appearance to your cervical mucus. Whether you get ovulation bleeding or not, you can still get pregnant, as long as you are ovulating. Sodium laurel/ laureth sulfate is an emulsifying agent used in detergents, shampoos, toothpastes. This product is made from petroleum and it’s a known skin irritant. Sodium laureth sulfate is made from SLS through ethoxylation, which creates a by-product called 1,4-dioxane, which is a known carcinogen. 2. Synthetic fragrances are a blanket term for hundreds of different ingredients and many of them are toxic. Research has shown that “synthetic fragrances” have been linked to allergies and sensitivities, cancer and reproductive concerns. 3. Chlorine is found in detergents, some cleaning products and feminine hygiene products. I think back to 11 years ago when I first became an entrepreneur at the age of 19 and think how much life has changed since then. I first started a dog walking/pet sitting business then sold dog products I believed in at pet events then was a dog groomer at home for a bit. Had dreams of opening a pet resort with an at home feeling by the age of 20. After that I moved to #vancouverbc and continued my pet sitting business before starting a business called virtual balance which is now @getsocialwithnicole Between that time I sold cheesecakes, worked for a direct sales company selling health products I believed in and had little side jobs at pet stores and vet clinics. Here I am today 11 years later helping others around the world grow their businesses on social media and loving the variety of clients I’ve had to deal with over the years. If it wasn’t for all the ups and downs, the negatives and positives and all the people I met along the way I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am today. By going through the less than easy parts of my life, I formed a new definition of success. To me success isn’t money, enormous wealth, or possession of things. It’s measured by the amount of people you can impact and change for the better. I measure my own personal wealth by what I can do in the world for the greater good. And perhaps you might want to consider redefining success for yourself, if you want to get through the parts of life that are not very easy. In the end, your life is measured by that dash on a grave (the one that’s between when you are born and when you leave this world). It’s what you do in that dash that’s important...and worth it. Another life-lesson: I have discovered that my life is like the wind. Sometimes it’s gale-force crazy and scary. Sometimes it’s calm and serene. However it goes, it’s spirit that can’t be tamed. But a force that loves to love. A life that chases the sun. So simple, yet so experimental. Innocent and a touch of crazy. And above all, it’s all so worth it!
