I’ve been a little MIA due to personal reasons but things seem to be looking up and I’m trying to get back to posting on my socials! I was not expecting to get to race this past weekend as the transmission went out in my truck but luckily the race got postponed to Sunday and one of my close friends texted me telling me she would haul MJ and I! This was our first race back since my accident at the beginning of November and our first time back at Henry since I got bucked off during a run. And let me tell you, my nerves were through the roof. I was scared. I was nervous. I didn’t want to get on my horse. But I did. I wasn’t nervous for our three expos. The first video is what was supposed to be a slow lope through for expos and the second we hit the alley, MJ said “hang on mom we’re sending it” and if you listen to the very beginning of the vid, you’ll hear I wasn’t ready🤣 As they were dragging the arena and getting ready for open I was panicking, pacing, and didn’t want to get on my horse. But I did, after I checked my cinch 3x of course. MJ was a little salty when they called our names but she settled and we sent it. This girl worked her tail off for me and I rode her *mostly* the way I was supposed to. We ran a 17.412 for our first run back and being legged up but still chunky, I was impressed. We managed to pick up a check for 1st in the Open 4D! Nous y étions également en votre compagnie pour partager notre passion pour leur biodiversité passionnante. L'occasion de mieux connaître ce milieu fragile et indispensable, les espèces méconnues qui la fréquentent ET de dresser le portrait de la mare idéale. 💧ni trop étendue, ni trop profonde (mais suffisamment pour rester en eau toute la durée de la métamorphose des tritons, grenouilles agiles, libellules qui y pondent), on parle de mare "temporaire" ou "permanente". 🦔 avec des paliers de profondeur et des berges en pente douce de façon à ce que les mammifères qui viennent y boire ou les amphibiens qui s'y rendent pour leur cycle de reproduction puissent en ressortir sans risquer la noyade (eh oui même une grenouille peut se noyer !). 🐠 sans poisson qui constituent un frein considérable au développement de la biodiversité. Les herbivores arrachent les plantes aquatiques et les œufs dissimulés dedans et les prédateurs dévorent invertébrés, œufs et larves en tous genres. La Randonnée au rythme d'enjambées. Un parcours que nous empruntons pour la seconde fois cette année, et qui reste encore non exploré totalement. C'est la région montagneuse qui s'étend de la Commune de Ain Zouit jusqu'au village de Ain Cheraia, en bordant la Mer. Une région au potentiel minier et sylvicole avéré, où déferlent les affluents de Oued Bibi, point de confluence des Oueds du bassin versant de son adret. Le sentier, pour ne pas le citer, apparaît pendant quelques centaines de mètres puis disparaît pendant des kilomètres. Pour progresser dans ce décor de jungle, il fallait chevaucher troncs d'arbre, rochers et petites cascades abruptes, parfois truffées de ronces et de lianes. Quant à la Faune et Flore qui y règnent, seuls les spécialistes peuvent en décrire l'importance endémique des espèces qui s'y développent de manière hors-norme.
