Today is one month in my new home!! I feel very loved, lucky, and spoiled. 🐶🤣 Mommy came home over lunch and we played with my squirrel house! 🐿🏡 I gave her sad puppy face when she had to leave to go back to work. After my parents got home we walked on my trail and did a repeat of one of our pics from my first day at my #furever home, so fun! WOW WOW WOW! Today I became a SUP PUP!! Mommy and Daddy took me #paddleboarding on their @islesurfandsup boards at Promised Land State Park!! 🏄♀️ I was really scared the first time and jumped off mommy’s boards and swam to daddy. 🏊♀️ It started storming a few minutes later so we took a break. 🌊 When we went back out I was used to the water and less scared. ☺️ I stayed in between Mommy’s legs the whole time! I also met a lot of my Forte aunts and uncles at the cabin. After we left, we stopped in and I met my Great Grandmommy! OMG Y’ALL! ROAD TRIP!!! 🚙 We’re in Tysons Corner, outside of DC visiting Aunt Ronnie and Uncle Duane for the 4th of July! 🎇 I sat on mommy lap for the first leg of the trip. Today was pretty uneventful, which was needed after all the excitement we’ve had around here! I tried to look my cutest ever this morning when Mommy was trying to leave for work, but sadly she still went. 😔 I played with my rope toy for the first time since I moved into my new home, and ate an ice cube for the first time! My leg is still sore, so I had to take it easy today. I was extra snuggly last night after all the stress, and wouldn’t leave mommy’s side. I even laid my head on her neck for awhile to be super close to her. No walks this evening, but I did walk up the steps by myself! Boy did I scare Mommy and Daddy today! It started off great with hugs for daddy, and lots of taco time. But on our evening walk, I jumped in my favorite Adirondack chair on #manayunkbridgetrail and things went awry. My little leg got caught between the arm and the back and I was squealing, screeching and upside down for about 8 seconds until mommy got me out and scooped me up! I was so scared I peed a little (but don’t tell anyone) 💦 When mommy put me down I laid in the grass right away and wasn’t moving my right back leg. When I tried to stand I couldn’t put any weight on it, and mommy was scared. 😱 Daddy carried me home while Mommy called the vet. Even at home I couldn’t put weight on my leg, so we took a trip to the emergency vet. ☹️ Mommy colored a picture of me while she waited for my results. Luckily after x-rays everything looks ok! No jumping and close monitoring along with pain meds and anti-inflammatories for the next week or so, and my condition should improve. Great news today!! I’m healing really well and don’t need my cone anymore, yay!!! Wow! It’s been an exciting 24 hours. Last night when mommy took me out at 2 am we saw something in the back yard. It slowly crawled up our fence and then sat right on top. Mom was scared so she ran up and got daddy. Dad tried to scare it away and it wouldn’t move! He shook a rake at it and it just opened its mouth and stared at him. 😱 He finally knocked it off the fence with the rake. It was a baby possum, but who knows what it was doing in our yard. 🤷🏼♀️ Mommy was just scared it might go after me, or worse, try to hurt or eat me. While my parents were at work I didn’t have any accidents today, and nothing to clean up when mom got home. 🚫💩 My tummy is better!! We met daddy at the train, and I got a lot of time to play without my cone.
