Today marks the 15-year anniversary of starting my commercial real estate company. My children were only, 3, 5, 7, and 9 years old at the time, and I did it!!! With a little bit of money set aside and an SBA loan, we wondered if we were going to be able to afford to eat or be able to pay our mortgage. The risk was enormous. As a woman navigating through a traditionally male-dominated industry, it's been a long journey filled with many challenges and triumphs. The odds were stacked against me, but I persisted, proving that gender, or being a mom with young children, should never limit ambition (in any industry). Then, with unwavering grit and relentless grind, we had surpassed the 7-figure mark. Today, our success is a testament to the power of persistence, innovation, and an unwavering belief in ourselves and our ability to deliver cutting edge tenant consulting services. 2.2.2000. My big sister and her bf took me to my first club show. I was 12 years old. We were there to see Staind. But it was a band called SIMON SAYS that completely changed my life with their performance. The energy was absolutely insane. High flying, synchronized jumps, crowd surfing, and a raw passion and emotion that made music seem like the only thing that mattered. Time stood still. I will never forget that moment because it’s when I realized “holy f*** this is what I want to do with my life.” Next Wednesday, May 8 I get to do it with SIMON FN SAYS as they make their triumphant return, after a LONG 20 year hiatus. However, as we know, all good things must come to an end and the Steelers have since been seeking to return to their identity as a team is dominant in the trenches.
