Kitchen snippets… Who knew taking photos of the kitchen would become my go-to? Perhaps the first worrying sign was swapping my Vogue subscription for House and Garden magazine when I bought my first flat all those years ago. Back then I worked in the fashion industry and I thought that was my dream job, but now I think it would have to be an interior stylist. Whilst I may not be House and Garden material, over the years I’ve learned to appreciate the simple joys of making a house into a home and I’m grateful for the one we’ve made. C'est la fin... Du week-end, de ce bouquet mais le retour du soleil par ici où après de gros orages, de fortes pluies, les oiseaux ont repris leurs interminables chants d'amour. Les branches des arbres et arbustes se relèvent lentement encore chargés de toute ces pluies orageuses. Hain nimittäin opiskelemaan puutarha-alan perustutkintoa kukka -ja puutarhakaupan osaamisalalle 🌱 Aika ihanaa olisi päästä vielä opiskelemaan! Kukkia, puutarhoja, pihoja ja vihersisustamista 💚🌸 Näin alanvaihtajana uusi ammatti-identiteetti ei löytynytkään ihan tuosta vaan, ja melkoista vuoristorataa on tässä tullut mentyä viimeiset vuodet. Vähän hukkasin itseni. Yrittäjyys, palkkatyö sekä niiden yhdistäminen. Ihanaa ja kamalaa. Siihen vielä kun lisää tämän hullun maailman tilanteet sekä kaiken muun yllättävän mitä elämä tuo tullessaan, niin on sitä siinä. ✨ THE VISION ✨ When we viewed this house 2.5 years ago, we had £5k for the entire renovation LOLZZ. That went almost instantly on the bathroom, a few new windows and making the house generally safe for the baby. I hated the kitchen since the very second I saw it, but the bathroom was the priority and there’s nothing I could do about it. 2 years ago, I ripped the kitchen out with NO MONEY and NO PLAN, because living in a building site with nothing but an air fryer and microwave was better than the kitchen before 🤯😂😫 Here we are, 2 years later, finally getting closer to my vision of a traditional, modern, industrial, scandi kitchen. 😂 yes all of those things together. I’m SO pleased with how it’s turning out. Lifting the ceiling in this part of the kitchen made for a very cold winter, but a beautiful bright kitchen. Good morning and happy Pink Wednesday🌸 Well here it is - my finished blanket/knee rug!! For those who don’t know me well - I love the idea of doing things but very rarely finish them. My cabinet I started upcycling over 3 years ago and still not finished is a case in point! Anyway - I last crocheted about 45 years ago but always kept my crocheting hook (it’s great for cleaning the bath plug hole🤭) but last Oct/Nov, encouraged by a couple of lovely ladies on here, I decided to clean my crocheting hook, buy some wool and have a go at learning to crochet again and making a blanket . I know it’s not very big but it’s big enough to cover my short legs, and I know it’s taken me a while, but I’m so impressed I’ve actually finished it!! I didn’t intend it to be mostly pink (honest!) but I struggled to find wool. My friend @thefaffingqueen wants me to make her one but I think you’ll have a long wait Simona🤣🥰. Kolejny wieczór przy kominku. Gdyby nie wiosenne kwiaty w wazonie i to że dzień jest zdecydowanie dłuższy poczułabym się jak w grudniu. Od kilku dni ogrzewamy na noc pod specjalnym tunelem nasze hortensje (zdjęcia na story). Mają już masę cudownych małych pączków i szkoda żeby zmarzły. Od weekendu będzie już znowu cioplutko a tym czasem grzejmy się wieczorem pod ciepłym kocykiem, przy kominku z dobrą książką w ręku.
