Tinnitus started two months after my twin died, brought about through 6-months of trauma before I lost her. It was incredibly distressing and has had a profound impact on my mental and emotional health. On their own, trauma and tinnitus can both be overwhelming experiences. Managing both has and continues to be extremely difficult. Tinnitus related trauma Physical and emotional trauma that happens over a longer-period of time can cause tinnitus.
