Before we totally put Valentine’s cocktails in the rear view mirror, I have to share one more! When you’re lucky enough to live in the same city as @sommdrunkdude and when he puts together a Valentine’s cocktail mixer that his lovely wife @thedancers_pantry sells at her pop-up market for her Valentine’s cheese bouquets, you buy it! (And you buy the cheese bouquet too 🧀😃)! I don’t remember all the ingredients in this, but I know there was strawberry purée and I can tell you that it was delicious. The first night (pictured here) I used two ounces of the cocktail mixer and topped it with sparkling rosé. Divine! The second night (when I was too lazy for photos), I used 2 ounces of mixer, 1 ounce of Hendricks gin, and topped it with the remaining sparkling rosé. Equally divine! So the moral of the story is: if you ever have a chance to get your hands on one of Eric’s mixers, do it! Also: sparkling wine from New Mexico is really good! I bought this one on a whim at Total Wine and it did not disappoint. Happy New Year!!! 🎊 🎉 Good riddance 2020!! 😡 We’ve been looking forward to this all week!! We ordered from one of our favorite local restaurants @turtleandthewolf 🐢 🐺 and can’t wait to go back there for a night out again. But in the meantime, we wanted to ring in the new year with their famous fried chicken!!! 🍗 I don’t know how they do it but it’s the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. 😍 Even via curbside pickup, crispy exterior, moist interior, a little spice, a little sweet, a lot of delicious!! 🤤 And because it’s New Years Eve, what better to pop open than some bubbly that also happens to be the perfect pairing for fried chicken! 🍾 @gruetwinery Brut was the quintessential sparkler to ring in the new year and to pair with dinner. And how cool is it that it’s made in New Mexico! 😮 Fine, frothy bubbles, flavors of green apple, almonds and a little citrus. So refreshing and an excellent palate cleanser with and after dinner. This bottle didn’t last long. Probably should’ve gotten two! 🥂 I can’t speak highly enough about the food and the wine!
