The Bad Batch Season 3 Review: Helmed by Dave Filoni, Brad Rau & Jennifer Corbett; Star Wars The Bad Batch Season 3 continues and concludes the story of Clone Force 99 aka The Bad Batch, who have their limits tested in the fight to reunite with Omega (Michelle Ang) as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab that harbors a secretive experiment that is considered critical for Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid). With the group fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions, and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire once and for all. This rag tag team of unique Clones has certainly come a long way from their first debut in the final season of The Clone Wars to going on their own journey in their own spin off series that I was surprised to be so invested in. The first season was awesome and while the second season was a little bit of a mixed bag for me it had some serious high points in its second half that had me still hooked to see more. This brings us to the third and final season of the series meant to conclude the story of these characters and I was hoping that if this was going to be their final chapter that it would be a major improvement over the previous season as well as end everything on a high note. After watching all 15 episodes I am happy to say that not only do I consider this a massive improvement over season 2 but it was overall an extremely satisfying season to end the series on. In fact I can may even say this was perhaps my favorite season of the series as a whole for a lot of the amazing things it gave me such as incredible voice performances, a consistently tension filled narrative, epically thrilling action, strong emotional energy, stellar animation and much more. This season was everything I wanted the show to be from the start and while it is a bit sad that it took the final season to get to that point I am still pleased with what I was given. (Continued)

Planet Comicon’s 25th Anniversary didn’t go exactly as planned seeing as most of the people I wanted to meet only took cash but I still had a blast. Got to meet Paul Bettany (but no picture), Nika Futterman and Greg Baldwin. And then thanks to @addie_eber I got to meet Matthew freaking Lillard with my little sister and my boyfriend. “Only Yesterday” (1991) is an anime drama directed by Isao Takahata starring Alison Fernandez, Daisy Ridley, Dev Patel & Grey Griffin. Perhaps one of Studio Ghibli’s least memorable movies, this is a lovely coming-of-age story about a 27 year old lady reminiscing about her childhood. The way the story is shaped is so clever and executed very well. With 27 year old Taeko talking about something that happened when she was young and then us being cut to the flashback of that happening - it was such an effective way of telling a story. The voice cast was solid too with Ridley & Patel both giving standout performances as well as Fernandez as young Taeko. The animation is probably some of Ghibli’s weakest unfortunately, however still strong it just pales in comparison to some of their older and previous releases. The script is fantastic with some real and excellent dialogue. I do feel the movie was very much hard going and a slow burner, however this wasn’t too much of a hinderence to the film - i just felt it lacked what other Ghibli films had that made them so outstanding. I just felt this was rather slow and sometimes caused me to disengage or be uninterested. Overall, although still a solid addition to their filmography - this was certainly one of Ghibli’s weaker films and least memorable for sure. You can enjoy the activities of the characters familiar from the movie version in a cute puppet animation. The plot of movie is about, the Padawans’ supposed fun excursion gets caught up in a terrifying Sith conspiracy. Grandmaster Yoda, who is in charge of leader moves to bring the situation under control. The purpose and true identity of the mysterious boy who has slipped into the Padawan is revealed. My thoughts about this film, It was amazing to be able to recreate the Star Wars world with Lego at a fairly high quality. Even though the story was aimed at children, it respected originality. Did someone say Ventress?! I haven’t read Dark Disciple and have no real ‘allegiance” to any of the Star Wars storytelling outside of the films and shows, so I’m not so bothered by this seemingly “huh?!?” retcon. I did however find it curious that the events of The Bad Batch (which takes place one year AFTER Dark Disciple (in which SPOILER: Ventress definitively dies), isn’t actually retconning anything and that Dark Disciple still remains canon (as per Brad Rau of LfL). So this can mean only 1 of 3 things: 1. The Ventress moment we see in the trailer for Bad Batch is a flashback of some sort (which I’m not a fan of as flashbacks never formed part of the Star Wars storytelling language that Lucas designed). 2. Ventress is brought back from the dead (which really does lower all stakes in this universe sadly). 3. The book Dark Disciple has indeed been retconned and Rau is lying. 🫠 4. SNEAK ATTACK OPTION 4! The idea has actually been thought out intelligently and everything will be okay. It’s okay. Calm. Down. Just enjoy her return (and Nika Futterman’s fantastic voice work!) MY CONTINUED LION KING CINEMATIC UNIVERSE TV SHOWS EPISODE STORY AND FANCAST-SCARS REIGN SEASON ONE EPISODE FIVE CONTINUED LION KING TV SHOWS EPISODE STORY AND FANCAST- SCARS REIGN Title-Threat to the Throne Season-1 Episode-5 Rated-TV-14 Runtime-50 Minutes Story-We pick up about three weeks after Zira and her group of rogues were welcomed into Pride Rock and tensions are at an all-time high because Ziras and her pride sisters hunt and do things their own way even if it means that they're overhunting but things have especially been worse between Sarabi, Zira, Sarafina, and Scar because Sarabi has her suspicions that Zira wanted to replace Sarafina as Scars queen but she couldn't prove it and Zira can't do anything to Sarafina with Sarabi suspecting that she's plotting something against the Royal Family so she realizes that she had to come up with a plan to make it seem like Sarafina was trying to manipulate Scar without Scar realizing it so when Zira sees Sarafina watching her daughter Nala try to pounce onto a butterfly that's when Zira gets an evil idea that she could try and frame Nala for something that she didn't do and that it would lead to Scar getting suspicious about Sarafina but then Zira remembered that she overheard Scar talking about how there was a rogue that was somehow getting food to the pride from outside the borders of the Pridelands but that he had been chased into the outlands so that's when Zira came up with the plan to get young Nala to take food to the rogue without alerting the Hyenas of her true intentions so it's here that when young Nala was off on her own she immediately runs into Zira who asks what she was doing on her own but Nala tells her that her mom told her not to talk to Strangers but Zira tells Nala that she's no stranger when she knew her father wanted to see and its here that Nala tells Zira that she never knew her father so why would he send her to come and take Nala to him and Zira tells Nala that the two of them grew up together and that he wants her to meet him and so that's when Nala decided to go with Zira....meanwhile Sarafina was resting on the tanning rock where the lionesses from the pride would rest during..

Season-1 Episode-4 Rated-TV-14 Runtime-55 Minutes Story-We pick up where we left off with Scar awaiting for Zira and her group of lionesses back at Priderock when he is confronted by Sarabi who asks why he's allowing an unknown group of lionesses into Pride Rock without consulting Sarafina or the Pride itself but that's when Scar tells her that it's because he's the king and he can do whatever he wanted to do but Sarabi then tells him that that's not what Mufasa would do and this causes Scar to lose his temper a little bit by getting in Sarabis face while growling and this is in front of the entire Pride as well as Shenzi, Ed, and Banzai and its here that Sarabi isn't phased or intimidated by Scar and she tells him that she's not afraid of Scar and this causes Scar to realize that in order to gain the support of the pride that he needed Sarabi to stand with and not against him and so Scar backs down before telling Sarabi that as long as he's king that he'll handle business the way he wanted to handle business and so it's here that Scar tells Sarabi that if she won't stand with him for her sake then she would at least need to do so for the cubs in the pride including poor little Nala and this causes a shift in tone from Sarabi who immediately turned around and growled in Scars face before telling him that he wouldn't dare think of harming Nala or the other cubs in the pride but Scae tells her that he wouldn't harm the lionesses but the male cubs on the other hand he could feed to the Hyenas or have them exiled but all of that could be avoided if Sarabi would stand with him instead of against him but before either of them could respond that's when Shenzi reported that Zira had arrived at Priderock and so it's here that Scar tells Sarabi that they'll finish this conversation later but for right now he needed to welcome the newest members of the pride and so it's here that Scar walked down the side of Priderock to greet Zira while Sarabi looked up at the sky...

MY LION KING CINEMATIC UNIVERSE CONTINUED TV SHOW EPISODE STORY AND FANCAST-SCARS REIGN SEASON ONE EPISODE THREE CONTINUED LION KING TV SHOW EPISODE STORY AND FANCAST- SCARS REIGN Title-Growing Tension Season-1 Episode-3 Rated-TV-14 Runtime-45 Minutes Story-We pick up a few weeks from where we left off with Scar having a meeting with Shenzi and his Hyenas and its here that Shenzi was telling Scar that there have been reports of a rogue lion on the borders of the Pridelands young into the Southern borders but that's when Scar asked if it could possibly be the southlands pride Shenzi told him that they've been keeping an eye on the borders and so far they've made no sort of movement towards the Pridelands but Banzai did have a weird encounter with Sarabi and what smelled like a foreign lion cub but he couldn't place what it was but before Scar could say anything that's when Zazu flies in and reports to Scar that Rafiki had arrived to check on Queen Sarafina and its here that Rafiki arrived he was rather annoyed at Scar but doesn't say anything out of respect for Sarafina and Nala and so when Rafiki examined Sarafina he asks her to lie on her back while he examined her stomach and so she does and its here that Rafiki leans on. Sarafinas stomach he feels a little kick in her stomach which leads him to get all of the info he needs for King Scar and its here that when Scar asks Rafiki what the word was and Rafiki revealed to Scar that Sarafina was indeed pregnant and she's likely to give birth within the next two months and this pleases Scar before thanking the mandrill as he was leaving and so it's here that Scar tells Shenzi to double the patrols around the southern and northern borders while he had a word with his sister in law...meanwhile Nala was with her friends Chumvi, Tojo, Kula, and Tama when they run into Naandas newborn son Mtoto who was Scars first son but he didn't want anything to do with him but that's not how his mother and the other cubs in the pride felt about him because Nala had asked Mtoto to come play with her and the other cubs but when Nala sees Shenzi and her Hyena patrol coming their way that's when Nala remained on alert and on guard...
