Green Eggs & Ham by @rethink_cooking and inspired by Dr Seuss 💚 Makes 8 devilled eggs Ingredients 4 eggs 100g asparagus 2 tbsp mayo ½ tbsp mustard 2 slices of prosciutto ¼ tap salt ¼ tap pepper Recipe Bring water to a simmer over medium heat. Cook the eggs until hard boiled for 12 minutes. Add the asparagus to the water for the last 7 minutes and cook until easily pierced with a fork. Put the eggs in ice water to cool. De-shell the eggs and cut in half. Scoop out the egg yolk and place in a food processor or blender. Add the cooked asparagus, mayo, mustard, salt, and pepper, and blend until smooth. Add the egg and asparagus mixture to a bag and pipe into the egg whites. Add the prosciutto to a frying pan over medium heat. Cook for 1-3 minutes until crispy, flipping halfway. Crumble the prosciutto and add it to the top of the devilled eggs as a garnish. Easy Rhubarb Cinnamon Rolls What to do with that glut of rhubarb you picked this week? Turn them into a delicious breakfast! Thanks to @rethink_cooking for this excellent, low waste recipe... Ingredients: ♥️ 1 pack of pre-prepared Jus-Roll cinnamon rolls. These packs include icing sugar to make the icing. ♥️ Stewed rhubarb (Rhubarb cooked down with a splash of water and sugar/honey to desired sweetness) Method: ♥️ Preheat your oven according to cinnamon roll package details. ♥️ Pop open your package of cinnamon rolls and cut the pastry log into your desired thickness. The package we used said cut into 6 but we opted for thicker rolls, so we only cut them into 4. ♥️ This is the messy part. Unroll the pastry and spread a layer of stewed rhubarb across the pastry. ASPARAGUS SOUP 🥣 It might technically be Spring but it's still darn chilly out there! Warm up with a bowl of this hearty soup, brought to you by @rethink_cooking. Ingredients: 1 handful of asparagus stems, chopped into 1 inch pieces 1 tin of cannellini beans 1 onion, chopped 1 litre of chicken broth Juice of 1 lemon 150g of parmesan cheese and more to serve Oil for frying Salt and pepper Method: Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a tbsp of oil. Fry the onion for 5 mins Add the asparagus and continue to fry for 5 mins Add the cannellini beans and fry for 2 minutes Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the lemon juice and the parmesan cheese to the soup and stir to combine. Increased security at the grocery store is a new reality that kind of hit me hard yesterday. I hadn't been to the #atlanticsuperstore in a few months and was kind of shocked. I asked the cashier about it and she said the robbery had been really bad and they had to change their security to curb it. This was maybe the kick in the butt I needed to get excited about the farming season, as weird as that sounds. People are hungry, food is outrageous and taxed, and we are passionate about helping fill the food insecurity void in our community. 今年の初投稿、よろしくおねがいします。 年末からとても暖かく過ごしやすい、宮崎で2回めの冬です。 そしてなんともう、梅の花が満開になってきました。 季節の移ろいが早く、1年の農事のスケジュールに追いつこうと2日から頑張ってます。 やっと梅の剪定が終わって、二日後くらいから花が咲き始め、ヴェロスクロノス都農の選手達に手伝ってもらい、6反位ある畑の剪定枝を一箇所に集めてから、穴を掘って野焼きで、バイオチャー（土壌改良する炭）を作りました。 今年はドラム缶で作るより、手間も時間も少なく作ることが出来ました。 無農薬の梅の販売を6年位やってきて、発送期間と購入者の方の熟具合の好みなどが、とても難しいと感じてます。だから、今年からはU-pick ファーム（じぶんで収穫してもらえる畑）も出来る梅畑といままでの様に販売するハイブリッドで試験的にやっていこうと思っています。 #無農薬梅 #upickfarm #pickyourownfarm #自分で収穫して #ヴェロスクロノス都農 #じろう畑とまさみの食卓
Nyx, the plump goat on the left, is soooooooooo pregnant. She just got a freshly cleaned stall and now has Devious, one of the weathers, as a roommate until the babies come. Luna and the toddlers have been evicted to go live with everyone else so Nyx can have some peace and quiet to evict the kids I can see moving around in her belly. Persian Sour Cherry Rice - Albaloo Polow We’ve enjoyed trying and sharing the traditional recipes that customers have shared for using our Morello sour cherries this season. This Persian sour cherry rice has become a favourite in our family. We were really spoilt to be given some special saffron from a lovely customer to make this dish. I used a recipe from the website My Persian Kitchen We loved it so much I have made some of the sour cherries & syrup and bottled it to try to see if we can have this after the season. It really has been special learning many different ways to use the morellis. They are finished now until next summer and I pruned the trees yesterday. Unlike sweet cherries the sour cherries fruit on one year old wood so early pruning helps to prepare them for next season. #persianrice #morello #sourcherry #pickyourownfarm @mudgeeregion
