How cute are Mabel & Bertie! I decided I needed to do one last model call to check my bed is safe for little ones (safety first here in the studio!). As it's an airbed I was worried it might be a bit bouncy and I wasn't sure how stable it would be for new sitters. So I inflated the bed as firm as I could and as you can see, Bertie did great! As an extra precaution we had dad just out of shot ready to prevent any tumbles. Retro summer vibes… We made the most of the sun yesterday and took our first trip to the @portisheadlidoandcafe - it did not disappoint! I was expecting a cold water therapy style swim but it was lush heated to a balmy 29oC. Booking is essential as it gets busy in summer but it’s only £5 per person (£4 for spectators, 0-2 free) for a 2.5 hour slot which I think is a bargain given the surroundings and novelty of it. There aren’t any slides but this didn’t bother the boys who were happy with their TMNT jumps, hand stands and water pistols. Wilf loved the big pool but was equally happy in the splash pool where he played with a ball and water fountain for a solid 30 mins! We took a picnic but there’s a decent poolside tuck shop and a lovely community cafe attached - both reasonably priced. Located right next to the beach, you can team it up with a rocky beach explore, a run up to the lighthouse or a short walk down to the lake grounds where we saw flamingo pedelos and a cool play park. Just a 20 minute drive from Bristol it’s well worth a visit.
