I have had a good reminder the other day that we have been pretty quiet over here. We are still here and continuing the work to get our space open(hopefully end of May🤞) But, until then…..how’s that rainy day weather treating you guys? We made one of my favorite play dough recipes to help pass the time🤪 Here it is: -1 1/2 cups of plain flour -1/2 cup of salt -2 Tbsp cream of tartar -2 Tbsp oil(coconut or vegetable) -1 cup of boiling water - food coloring (optional) Mix dry ingredients. Add oil and food coloring to boiling water then pour into the flour mixture. Mix until dough forms. Once cooled a bit put on a cutting board or clean surface and knead until cooled. This dough will last forever if kept clean and in an air tight container. Sometimes I add kid friendly essential oils to it too. Enjoy! Today, I’m continuing the series of posts with some of our favorite Things To Do With Kids in Colorado During The Fall Season. 💾(𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 this post 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫) Part 8: If you are interested in Colorado’s mining history or ghost towns, then you must visit St. Elmo Ghost town in Colorado. This is one of the best preserved Colorado’s ghost towns. It offers a unique glimpse into the past, and is a great place to explore. 📍Saint Elmo ghost town located about 20 miles southwest of Buena Vista, and is accessible via a scenic drive along Chalk Creek Canyon. You can explore the town’s many historic buildings, including the general store, post office, and several former residences. Many of these buildings have been restored and are open to the public, allowing visitors to get a sense of what life was like in the town during its heyday. St. Elmo is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit in my opinion is late Spring-early Fall. Overall, a visit to St. Elmo is a must-do for anyone interested in Colorado’s mining history or ghost towns. The town offers a unique glimpse into the past, and is a great place to explore and learn about Colorado’s rich mining heritage. Family Friendly Hike with Gorgeous Views LESS then an hour from Denver 📍Pulpit Rock Trail is a popular hiking trail in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is a 2 mile out and back trail that offers scenic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. The trail is relatively easy, with some steep and rocky sections, but it is well-maintained and easy to follow. The main attraction of the Pulpit Rock Trail is the panoramic view from the top of Pulpit Rock. Because we ALL have gifts to leave on this earth. But how free are you to allow them to live and breathe and be alchemised into 3D form in this lifetime? . ⭐️ 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲 ⭐️ ⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗲? ⁣ I was a primary teacher working for over 12 years across the foundation stage and Key Stage 1. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗔 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗨𝗞 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗲? ⁣ I knew I wanted to continue working with little ones but the ever growing demands of teaching led me to start looking outside of a school setting. I knew I wanted a better work life balance for myself and my family. I wanted to be able to be there for the school runs and be more present for my daughter. When the opportunity to own my own franchise came along I couldn’t let it pass by. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲? ⁣ I love everything about it! I genuinely enjoy going to work because it doesn’t feel like work. I love seeing little ones develop new skills and make sure to celebrate these achievements. I love the flexibility owning a franchise gives me allowing me to be there for my little girl. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗨𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸? ⁣ Outside of work I like to spend time walking with my dog and I enjoy socialising with friends and going out for dinner. I also manage another small craft business alongside my franchise which keeps me busy. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘀 𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗲? ⁣ It was very easy. After enquiring, Helen and Kat had a timetable and plans in place for training straight away. We had teams meetings to go through contracts and answer any questions I had. I quickly started observing classes to begin with so I could see classes in action and was supported to use the observation forms they had designed to support my practise. There was also online training to work through which I found really helpful and they set up a WhatsApp group with me to answer any questions I had. Onze Koningsdag. ❤️ Zo’n dag die er voor het ouderschap heel anders uit zag. 😂 5 jaar geleden gingen we als laatste de tent van de Oranjevereniging uit. Nu staan we er als eerste in. 5 jaar geleden pakte ik elk feest in de tent mee. Nu sta ik, met mijn handen vol appelsap in plaats van wijn, te dansen op Daba die daba daa op de kinderdisco.
