A bonafide classic from 1966 which was influenced by The Beatles “Rubber Soul”, then “Pet Sounds” went on to influence The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper”. Record Store Day is fast approaching this coming weekend. We are hopeful we will have a list available Wednesday or Thursday this week. Please remember we cannot hold titles for customers, it is part of the agreement we sign when we get access to the RSD titles. Any "leftovers" will go online Monday at 9 am. The Weeds were a garage rock band from Las Vegas, who had plans to avoid the “draft” by running away to Canada. However their funds ran out in Portland Oregon. So the played gigs around town even with The Doors and Janis Joplin. Their manager changed their name to the “Lollipop Shoppe” and they recorded “Just Colour” with the classic “You Must Be A Witch”. Reissued as it was originally intended with two bonus 7 inch singles under The Weeds moniker! Their most famous member was Fred Cole who went onto Dead Moon, The Rats, Pierced Arrows and 70s hard rockers Zipper.
