It's Day 1 of #BookwormBounds in support of @reedalittlemore held by @thedisneybound, so naturally for "Beauty and the Beast" day I went for my April #1Perso12Bounds Belle look. 📚 A couch, comfy lounge clothes... honestly I'd rather read in sweatpants than a dress, but that's just me. 😆 Have you read any of these Twisted Tale books? I've only read a few and I really enjoyed them. I'd love to read them all, but of course I didn't buy them as they released so they're not all easy to track down anymore. 😕 📚💚📚💚📚 If you live in Canada or the USA, heads up that THIS Saturday is Indie Bookstore Day!! It's a great day to visit & support your local indie bookstore, whether you're a repeat customer or visiting for the first time. Indie bookstore books (& games, bookish swag, and more) will cost a few dollars more than a discounted large retailer or mega-corp, but the difference is you're supporting a shop that actually cares about books & readers, can provide personal recommendations, order things you're looking for, and build community in an increasingly impersonal world. My "local" indie, @rookerybookstore, is actually 20+ minutes away from me (it's the closest one), which means I can't get there as often as I'd like, but they offer online ordering & purchases which makes pre-ordering new books or ordering in other ones a breeze. Yesterday marked the first time I’ve missed a day of the #disneyboundchallenge in my now 6 years of it. . It’s a mix of factors making it less fun this year between job stress, the lack of hashtags, and the overall bad taste cliques have given me over the years. . Luckily I do have a way to “make it up” today by mixing it with Characters who are French! Characters who are Lucky . Going with a bit of a stretch and my third Ariel look of the #disneyboundchallenge this year but: 1) Ariel has green, which is lucky today 2) one of the first humans she meets happens to be a genuinely decent gorgeous single guy who loves her back 3) I took these photos on the first day I did the boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance in 2020 and we got group 6 or something ridiculously low 4) I’m personally lucky to be able to go to Disneyland as often as I do, and take photos with wonderful friends like @lucasknorr 5) Ariel canonically has a child which means she was lucky at least once 😉 . Birthdays are the perfect excuse to get dressed like a princess! We celebrated my birthday by attending Disney on Ice last night and Elsa sent a little snow storm our way. I love how magical snow is and enjoyed my white birthday ❄️💙 I put together this quick Elsa Disney bound to wear to the show, but I waited till the last minute and I was stitching snowflakes on to my ears as we drove to dinner 😅 I had the perfect birthday and I’m looking forward to celebrating more today and throughout the month. Squeezing in my 2nd Belle for #1Perso12Bounds before the month changes over 📚 I love this "book stack" Loungefly! And Belle's green outfit. It is definitely the superior outfit in the movie. 💚📚💚📚💚 I've definitely noticed the slowdown in posting from everyone this week as we gear up for March 1st. (If I didn’t have challenges to complete, I'd be doing the same. 😆) Yesterday I managed to get photos done to last me through the weekend, so I'm feeling less panicked. Ask me again next Monday, though. 🥴 And if YOU are in panic mode, I'll give the reminder that I give every year: This is a HOBBY. This is supposed to be FUN. « It was like a dream, better than a dream » ✨ For this special occasion I wanted to pay hommage to one of my fav princesses, Cinderella. ✨ D i s n e y l a n d H o t e l ✨ Two weeks ago I had the enormous opportunity to participe to the cast members Test & Adjust nights for the reopening of the iconic DLH, thanks to @lildreams_cm who I will never be able to thank enough for this dream come true 🙏🏻✨ With her and @noedhal we got to spend unbelievable 24 hours experiencing many different offers of the hotel and it was absolutely magical. It's "Winter Wonderland" day for @chocolate_mermaid_disneybounds's #ChocolateMermaidBday, so I'm throwing it back to the 2020 DBC and this Anastasia buddy bound with Stitch! If you swipe to slide 2, you'll see that I first attempted to make it a buddy bound with Caprica, however... that did not work out as hoped. So, Stitch was recruited instead. 🤣🤣 ❄💚👑💚❄ Admittedly... Fun fact! Memphis and I got engaged at Disneyland in 2022 dressed as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Belle it is! ...for my 2024 #1Perso12Bounds character. And this is my "gimmie" outfit, since it required almost no effort (perfect for sickie Faith 😆). I kinda like how my wrinkled linen pants could almost, if you squint a lil' bit, look like the folds/panel seams in Belle's dress. 😏 This teeny tiny rose necklace will undoubtedly show up more than once as well. 💛🌹💛🌹💛 Where my Yoga with Adriene peeps at? I already know a few of you do the 30-day challenge annually in January, but I bet there are a few more hiding among the feed. The daily practices start today, and I'm going to try to do it despite still feeling awful (honestly it might help, her practices tend to be fairly gentle anyway, especially in the early days of each 30-day challenge). I fell off the wagon last year even though it was my favorite one so far 😔 so I'm hoping I can stick with it this time around. I've been saying for a while I need to do more yoga again anyway... I've been neglecting flexibility/mobility in favor of more strenuous activities, which is not good balance for long-term health. It's too bad this Bookmas shelf is in the spot where I usually stand, because these pleather pants make my butt look *great,* and the view here isn't as thorough as I'd like 🤣🤣🤣 This is my final #1Perso12Bounds look for the year! Hooray! I'm a little disappointed with myself that I only bounded 2 of Ariel's looks over the course of 12 posts, but... it was a weird year for our community with the strike, eh? Some of us are still getting re-motivated. Overall I'm just glad I made it through all 12 😆 I'll probably do it again next year... but who to choose?? Current top contenders are: Belle, Ursula, Pooh, and Peter Pan. I was really leaning toward Ursula before realizing that Belle has a lot more outfits to work with, so that might be a better option overall. Also she tends to be easier to fit into challenges. I didn't have a real apple, so I used this plastic Colourpop Snow White lip scrub. A bit hard on the teeth to bite into. 🤪 Okay, so I'm like 5 days late with the Snow White prompt, but I still wanted to jump into @the.colorful.muslimah's #AMerryBirthdayBound. ❤ I finally had the time & energy yesterday to shoot a few bounds in my usual photo spot, and that reminded me that last year, we got the March Challenge prompts on January 1st. And then I realized how close we are to 2024, and then I had a moment of existential panic, because in some ways I'm still back in March 2020. I doubt I'm the only one. ANYWHOOZLE, I have a gajillion gifts to finish making over the next few days, so off I go. Throwing it back to May 2023 for Tangled day of #DisneyBoundCanon by @disneyboundcommunity! Good times, good times. Know what else was good times?? ⭐Seeing WISH.⭐ I LOVED IT SO MUCH. It's bonkers in all the best ways, it has a gazillion tributes to other Disney films, and is honestly just the perfect story for the year of Disney's 100th anniversary. The more distance I get from having seen it last night, the more I love it. I might go for a 2nd round this week. ⭐🐐⭐🐐⭐ I'm heading out to a small pop-up craft market & to see a lights display tonight to try to build a touch of holiday spirit (& reduce temptation to make mindless Black Friday purchases while scrolling). And at last I see the light ✨ Dude this Photopass was a particular hassle on this night but I feel like it was so worth it! The lantern shoot is already super popular and cast members earlier in the day mentioned the line could be very long even during the fireworks. But it got windy so they had to close off fantasyland before, during, and after the fireworks show for that night to minimize ash breathe-in. Then, it started raining too, so we we're running around with ponchos searching for a cast member in the green Photopass shirts just to ask them if they were still doing this special shoot. They had us sheltered under an area next to Peter Pan's Flight and we ended up being the first people! It was so sweet and the workers were so nice. Me and my homegirl Rapunzel ☀️💜 My next Disney bound is one of my favorite Disney ladies! I love Tangled so much and the music is so fun and beautiful. Here is our bound of #princesstiana in her yellow waitress dress and green top coat. For the August prompt of the #DisneyPinupCalendar monthly challenge; which is hosted by @cyberwaif_hrh and @curiouser_in_wonderland We are on vacation down in Indian Wells California. It is a 12 Hour drive south of our hometown, Redding, California, and 2 1/2 hours east of our second home Disney land. 😂 Draped in our background is the Santa Rosa mountain range. The peak in the right side of the photo is called Eisenhower Mountain (named after our former president Dwight D Eisenhower). Eisenhower was a resident of Indian Wells after he left the presidency.
