Yet another @nationaltrust, this time the beautiful Crook Hall Gardens in Durham. Although a bit smaller than most national trust places, this didn't take away from its charm and character. What a lovely first day on our camping trip to Nottingham. A scorching 28°C and 70% humidity almost made it a little to warm for comfort, but that did not stop us. A short 30 minute drive over the border into Lincolnshire to the town of Grantham to visit a National Trust treasure, Belton House. This 17th century house is set in acres of gardens and parkland home to thousands of species of plants, trees, insects and wildlife. Hours of fun for all the family. Take a walk up to the lake, relax on the grass and view spectacular architecture. Milo on saanut kodin 💙 Milo, n. 6v, 40cm/15kg Milo saapui Rodoksen kunnalliselle tarhalle pentuna sisarusten kanssa. Muut löysivät kodin, mutta Milo joutui viettämään tarhalla noin viisi vuotta ennen kuin yhdistys toi hänet kotihoitoon Vantaalle huhtikuussa 2023. Luonteeltaan Milo on vielä ujo, mutta energinen. Lelut ja herkut saavat kyytiä ja muutamia ilohepuleitakin on nähty. Milo turvautuu muihin koiriin paljon ja ottaa esimerkkiä rohkeista koirakavereista. Nykyään Milo tulee häntä heiluen ovelle vastaan ja tervehtii myös vieraita, mutta menee sitten omaan rauhaan palautumaan. Tyhjässä puistossa koirapuistoilu on Milon lempparipuuhaa ja siellä hän viilettääkin tuoksuja tutkien häntä pystyssä. Milo sopeutuisi nähdyn käytöksen perusteella kotiin, jossa ymmärretään ujon koiran sielunelämää. Yksinolo on sujunut hieman vaihtelevasti, alkuun täysin ongelmitta, mutta nykyisin Milo on hammastellut esimerkiksi pussilakanoita. Milolle onkin siis tärkeää tarjota paljon sallittua pureskeltavaa. Ulkona Milo vielä jähmettyy kuullessaan kovia ääniä ja lasten äänet sekä äkkinäiset liikkeet pelottavat. Tästä syystä Miloa ei luovuteta pienten lasten perheeseen. Kotihoidossa Milo tulee erinomaisesti toimeen urosten ja narttujen kanssa. Kissoihin suhtautuminen on rentoa, joskaan kissat eivät hakeudu Milon lähelle vaan antavat hänen olla omissa oloissaan. Moi kaikki 💙 Mun nimi on Milo, oon noin 5-vuotias komea uros Rodokselta. Oon kooltani tosi kompakti, semmonen n. 48cm säkäkorkeudeltani ja painoa olis ehkä 15-18kg. Lihasta aletaan hankkimaan tässä pienin askelin lisää. Mun elämäntarina on vähän tylsä, kun oon pennusta asti asunut vaan Rodoksen kunnallisella koiratarhalla, jossa mua pelotti lähestulkoon kaikki. Viime viikolla mä sit tulin tänne Suomeen ja eihän tää elämä ihan niin pelottavaa olekaan. On pehmeitä petejä, ruokaa, vettä, kiva pikku piha missä käydä tarpeilla. Sit on kans koira- ja kissaystäviä, herkkuja, leluja ja tommoset rappuset, joissa osaan jo kulkea ylös ja alas ihan itse. Hihnasta en oikein tykkää vielä, ollaan harjoteltu sitä kyllä. Tykkään myös rapsutuksista, mutta sisällä ne vielä jännittää. Ulkona pyydän niitä ihan ite, niinku tossa kuvassakin. Katon aika paljon mallia muista koirista, et mitä ne tekee. Mun omassa kodissa olis siis hyvä olla ainakin yksi itsevarma koirakaveri, eikä kissatkaan mua haittaa. Lasten äänet on musta jänniä, enkä usko että pienet lapset ehkä osais olla mun kanssa silleen varovaisia, niin aikuiskoti olis mun ykkösvaihtoehto. Tykkään ainakin naisista ja miehistä yhtä paljon, eli ei oo väliä että mitä ihmisiä siellä mun kodissa asuisi, kunhan vaan tykkäätte musta vaikka oonkin vielä ujo poika 💙 Musta tulee vielä myöhemmin @rhodianstrayanimal kotisivuille ihan oma kirjoitelma, tää olkoon nyt pieni pintaraapaisu.
