Today’s theme is waterfalls (+ a visit with a little human). Went on a late hike and avoided peak heat thanks to the long summer days. We saw three different waterfalls 😯 (and decided to avoid another that was too crowded)—including one that required a trek up a steep valley. . Also started off the day at the farmer’s market with mom and got to see one of the little ones again. We #pushedthelimits today on #roadtripday5 . We did a total of 3 #nationalparks and 1 #statepark in 1 day. Woke up early and started at #windcavenationalpark we didnt have an opportunity to take a tour due to it selling out of tickets, but we did get to see the cave entrance and check out there awesome visitors center. We bounced over to #custerstatepark and did the #wildlifetrail . That park was #amazing #bison met us on the road and surrounded us. We scurried our way to #mountrushmore and were in aww. 매일밤 새로운 숙소에 도착해 짐을 푼다. 트렁크에 가득찬 짐을 꺼내 오늘의 집이 되어줄 공간에 펼쳐놓고 아침이면 다시 짐을 싼다. 매번 번거롭고 현타가 오는 일이지만 익숙해져 간다. 수저5벌, 냄비 1개, 소금과 진간장, 참기름과 식초를 챙겨와 여행 중 삼시세끼를 해먹으며 끼니의 소중함을 깨닫는다. 매번 찬장의 접시를 꺼내 다시 세척한 뒤 새로 해낸 밥을 담아내는 것은 여간 귀찮은 일이 아니지만 내 손으로 지은 밥은 정직하고 따뜻하다. 새롭게 도착한 숙소는 때론 너무 낯설어서 아주 잠시 울적한 기분이 들때도 있지만 아침에 눈을 뜨고 나면 신기하게도 다정한 공간이 되어있다. 여행은 집이라는 공간에 대해 많은 것을 다시 생각하게 한다. 트렁크 3개 만으로도 삶은 살아지고, 오늘 내가 머무는 공간이 집이 되는 길 위에서 앞으로의 삶은 조금 가벼워져도 되겠다는 생각을 해본다. 나는 챙겨온 물건 중 작은 물통 하나만 사라져도 금새 알아채고 마음이 불편해지는 사람이지만 여행 중 사라지기도 하는 물건들로부터 이상한 해방감을 느끼기도 한다. ‘이거 하나 사라져도 살아지네, 별로 불편하지 않네.’ 하고 다시 흘러가는 일상이 좋다. 여행은 내게 많은 것을 일깨운다. 모든 것이 불편하다가도 일순간 편안해지고, 낯설어서 뒷걸음 치다가도 새로운 장면을 들여다보게 된다. 길은 끝없이 이어지고, 새로운 길마다 또 하나의 장면들이 만들어진다. #roadtripDAY5 #20220810 #travelerdiary #usa #Americaroadtrip #SubwayCave #BumpassHellTrail #LassenNationalForest #klamathfalls #StateofOregon #california #palosverdes #doglover #dogwalker #dogstargram #dogsarefamily #ilovemydog #furryfriends #개둘애하나 #육아일기 #멍스타그램 #골든두들 #푸들 #멍팔환영 #멍팔맞팔 #댕팔환영 #반려견맞팔 #왕크왕귀

Road trip day 5! #wisconsin #Indiana (Omg sooo belated) Paige and I had a very chill day for this one! We left my sisters pretty late then went to Wisconsin for Coffee! We ended up getting tea and we walked through like one shop lol. Then we headed off and drove through Indiana! Yup right through. We got to her Aunt and Uncles house where I got to meet some of her relatives and eat gluten free pizza (that was not Chicago deep dish🙏🤢) and that was so fun!
