Oh April, you started this month with a bang. I still cannot believe I am still on this earth.. The headaches and body pain are slowly subsiding day by day. Currently, I am on a pasta journey having all sorts of fun experimenting with flowers and roots to create naturally dyed pasta. I want to thank @that.toyota.girl and @v1_boosted_bunny for spending 7hrs with me to get my car back from that scummy tow yard shop. I finally got to spend a weekend with one of my best friends @lucyy_liang before she moved. I did a lot of work travel every other week for some internal audits. Dear Boo, thank you for protecting me and giving me a second chance at life. On Easter Sunday, I was driving in the rain when a car swerved into my lane.. when I tried to avoid the car, my car hydroplaned, spun out of control and fell 14ft off the freeway. As I was falling down, I closed my eyes and asked God.. is this my time? I went to the ER and am blessed to say that I walked away with no broken bones or open lacerations. They did prescribe me a few medications for the next few weeks. For the next four days, I was on work travel going between the sites and didn’t stay at any location more than 24 hrs. While I was at McGregor, I felt very tired and kept dropping my utensils. @its.cowboy helped me pick up my knife and got me a new set. It was very nice running into a familiar face while away from home and I want you to know that I really appreciate our friendship. When I got to the airport, I found out that my flight was canceled and moved to the following morning at 6am. Luckily, my manager was able to talk to the airline and get me on the same flight. As luck may have it, this fun streak did not end just yet.. Within the first hour, the pilot informed us that the left wing engine had some failures and we had to come back for repair and refuel. Although we had over a two hour delay, we eventually got there safely. I remember closing my eyes and whispering.. God, I’m going to let go of all my expectations and let you handle this. All these crazy expectations I had for myself, flew out the window this weekend. Life is such a beautiful gift and you never know when it is your time. Be present, live your best life and love without conditions since tomorrow is never promised. Guided by wisdom and knowledge from the strong matriarchs of her family, the stories of her foremothers have shaped her values and understanding of deep culture.
