Currently sitting in my car with an iced coffee after wrapping today’s shoot. An hour and a half drive ahead of me, and a weekend without plans. My taxes are organized (just have to file them!), our new gear closet is set up at home, and the flights for this summer’s vacation are booked. In a couple weeks, this field will be filled with flowers. I feel absolutely rich 💜 .

A major challenge landscape photographers face on this platform is to compose for 4:5 aspect ratio. Not every scene can be composed with those limitations but in my opinion, this pushes photographers to think out of the box and work extra to make frames which tell the whole story. I had my struggles with this scene but I feel I am happy with how this came out (not 4X5). Was great fun photographing nonetheless. The result is an image from one of my favorite California beaches. I just love this quote and song so it seemed fitting to include it as another piece for “Through the Trees” @ourplanetweek Created years ago when we were facing saying goodbye to our Zippy Puppers. One of my first intuitive pieces I ever created. The bridge appeared and I felt immediately I was creating something that was helping me say goodbye, and at the same time knowing there would always be an invisible bridge linking us together. ▪️A moment in my life that felt like a once in a lifetime experience! Only ever have I seen Mt Goats at the zoo or in other photos, and on the drive up there asking about them possibly being up here to see. With no expectation of seeing them this was mind blowing. The second photo you can just tell how far they were on the hillside. Not only seeing a few but many all together! With cropping in a lot I was able to just get a good enough up close photo of them. I finally understand the charm of America🇺🇸 Arizona, USA. The entire state of Arizona can be divided into two natural geographical areas: the northern part is part of the Colorado Plateau, which includes the Grand Canyon area. The Colorado River cuts the rock formations in the northwest of the state to form the Grand Canyon, which is 1,800 meters deep and has cliffs on both sides. The walls are stepped and the scenery is majestic. The central part of the plateau is a forest-covered extinct volcano, and Humphrey Peak (3851 meters) is the highest point in the state. The southern part belongs to the basin and mountain range area. The southeastern mountainous area belongs to the Rocky Mountains; the southwest is a large intermountain basin with plains. These two parts together account for 3/5 of the state‘s area. Summer backpacking memories 🏕️ This was one of my longer backcountry trips, I spent 4-nights/5 days here and probably slept the best I ever have in the backcountry.
