The best thing about proper community arts stuff is how anarchic it is - here we are in the middle of another community organisation's shop, doing what we do while everyday life carries on around us 🙂 We love trad galleries too, and everything in between but it's amazing how many more people engage with an artist in this kind of environment. Just seeing our Karen happily sticking things together made a lot of people smile today and reminisce about childhood days spent doing the same. I know many of you are probably still in shock from the revelation that I can actually see colours lol, albeit in this case shades of gloom and dilapidation. This use of materials that are not black has led to a dilemma - for the final build, do I stick with black for the scrolling screen frame, or use a neutral tone. Following on from the Story Bocs video the other day, I've added another element in the form of a wooden cabin with flickering firelight.
