This design was featured in @faeriemagazine winter issue of 2016, and I still love making it and telling its story again and again: Silver Forest is a beautiful and enchanting place, but its light silvery branches cast rather thick shadow. From many travelers that ventured through it, too few came back. Those who did, however, tell a tale of the hidden kingdom, its faerie knights and the Heart of the Forest, gleaming through the branches. They all describe the Heart differently: some say it's a silver cup, elaborate and adorned in gleaming gems. Some say it's a magnificent white stag with silver antlers. One even saw a maiden, of fair and gentle beauty - it was with great sadness he told of her, for he chose to leave and never laid eyes upon her again. Some had seen a roaring beast - those didn't come back. The Heart can be many things, ever-changing like the spring flowers, eternal like the oak roots. Today I felt the need to spend the whole day in bed, to recharge my batteries. Maybe it was because of my blood pressure which tends to be on the low side, or maybe because yesterday I worked long hours. Either way, this long break was so beneficial for my creativity. It gave me the opportunity to form ideas in my head, to plan the next steps for my business, and to do so with absolute calm, peace and stillness of mind. It felt a bit like a "little winter" in my work pace, a moment to nurture the seeds of ideas deeply buried in my mind, so that they will hopefully bloom in the next few days. Speaking of winter, this piece is another product of my love for frosty landscapes. The rough Green Quartz crystal with which it was made reminds me of an ice stalactite. I added a small Labradorite at the top to make the whole piece a bit more precious. Considering its evocative shape, I named it Andromeda after the mythological Ethiopian princess who was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to the sea monster Caetus in order to save Ethiopia from the nymphs' rage.
