We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening last night at @cafecuil second supper club. Scott from @fhiorrestaurant came to Skye to join Clare from Cafe Cuil in producing an excellent menu filled with delicious food from Skye’s natural larder. Clare and Scott cooked 3 of the 6 courses each and we dined at a huge communal table while the sun set outside. Keep an eye out for future supper clubs and collaborations at Cafe Cuil. Highly recommended. More details about each course coming over the next week while to our grid.

We will be doing with it New Potato Badum (Devilled Potato Fry) Red Rice, Okra Curry & Mustard Pickle (achcharu) We will be starting batches of Mustard Pickle (imagine a piccalilli but better) today to get it ready for then. If your interested in getting Seeni Sambol, Tomato Sauce & Mustard Pickle, we can do them in small batches. Picking some more wild garlic to knock a butter this week too ,to go in the freezer for future use, anything left will be dydrated to be used for a salt & other uses. Today I cooked for our Iona community family group! Kimchi stew Green onion pancake Japanese pickle and cucumber maki sushi Lemon and poppyseed cake Tahini and white chocolate swirls Everything apart from the swirls was vegan!!
Last Sundays brunch club booking agreed for me to change my dessert slightly from French toast to the viral crispy croissant trend and I think it’s better tbh. Roll out a croissant until very flat (scroll across) and then I pan-fry it in butter, brown sugar and honey on both sides until golden, then allow to cool and go nice and crispy. Topped with sweetened whipped vanilla mascarpone, berries, salted caramel, chocolate sauce, hazelnut praline and edible flowers from the garden. It seemed to go down a treat with my guests ☺️ My brunch menus, like my other menus, can be booked any day of the week, but Friday and Saturday availability is very limited in May - Saturday 11th or Friday 31st.
