Most weeks, I practice the dark art of batch cooking.Next week will be very busy with tours etc so I thought I would get well ahead.Tonight in my stir fry pan I made this, which will make 5 meals for Luis and myself, one container between us each evening, served with brown rice. This week we went to @hopestreetsocial which has been on my list to try for a long time! 🥰 This BYO resteraunt offers a great value pre-theatre menu which gets you two courses for £26.95 if ordered before 6.15pm. It is also only 3/4 mins walk to the @gohbelfast 🎭 We arrived a little late so just opted for a main but they very generously gave us a complimentary starter to share. We then had the chicken supreme with mash, root veg and brandy sauce and the pan-fried salmon with chorizo, green beans, mash and white wine cream. A Sunday well spent.. We ventured out to @wineandbrine in Moira for Easter Sunday lunch today… it was my first time - but it most definitely won’t be the last, as it was incredible! We’d been hearing so many great things from chefs like Niall McKenna, foodie friends & lots of you.., and you weren’t wrong! We had crab ravioli & salt cod with a pheasant egg for starters, then for mains we had the 28 day sirloin of beef and the lamb, with the most delicious chocolate puddings.:. I couldn’t fault a thing! Lots of wild garlic (which is in season just now) topped off the perfect mix of seasoning & the freshest of local ingredients throughout, making it a meal to remember! Two starters, two mains, two pudding, two glasses of wine + bottle of water was £102, so very good value too.
