I drive on this road every day on the way to work. The trash was everywhere! My pictures do not do it justice. In a little over an hours time, my daughter and I collected 6 bags, totalling 32 pounds! I’m super excited to share the first episode in a mini-series featuring yours truly, shot and edited by the talented Andrew Tokuda aka @itsthatvideoguy . Over the past few years, I’ve become increasingly aware of the onslaught of ocean trash, mainly plastic, and the ill affect that it has on our marine life. I learned that a huge percentage of plastic pollution is made up of single-use, disposable plastic. Straws, water bottles, to-go cups, coffee cups and lids, plastic cutlery and Dixie cups, plastic bags, etc. . I started making changes in my daily life, to avoid adding to the problem of plastic pollution. I carry my own set of stainless steel straws, bamboo cutlery, refillable water bottles and travel cups for other hot and cold drinks, canvas grocery bags and bamboo mesh produce bags. . I also began participating in beach cleanups to help keep the debris left behind by others from entering our ocean. . This series will provide a more in-depth glimpse into this experience, artfully shot and thoughtfully presented. So my eco warriors even though I'm having a super time here in Costa Rica doing the turtle work and getting to explore various part of Costa Rica while doing it and I hope you all are enjoying my pictures and videos. I haven't forgot that I'm also apart of wide range of ambassador teams who are trying their very best to make everyone aware of their organisations and how they're trying to help clean our waters, save our planets, our wildlife and produce the eco friendly warriors we need to maintain a healthy planet 🌍.
