Being a carb junkie I couldn’t miss celebrating national sour dough day. I love the clam chowder sour dough bowl from Pacific Wharf Cafe. 11.49 before magic key discount. The crust is crunchy but the inside is soft. You can ask also ask for the soup on the side. I can’t eat the entire bowl at one time so I get some butter and enjoy a snack a little later in the evening. Cheers to my first fine dining experience at Carthay Circle Lounge. From the moment I stepped inside I felt transported back to the early 1930’s. Carthay Theatre is where Walt Disney’s film Snow White debuted in 1934. The theming of this restaurant is based on that time in history. And wow they did a fantastic job of transporting me back in time. I never would have thought I was sitting in a theme park. My friend Kristen @happiestclubonearth invited me to eat lunch with her. She introduced me to chef, Alex Flores. He talked about the menu that changes with seasonal flavors. The cuisine is not limited to one type of food but several dishes from all over the world like Vietnamese, Mexican, Moroccan and more. We shared a few dishes so I could sample several of the menu items. All I have to say is it was very fresh and delicious. 🔹Baked Bay Scallops in yummy potato chowder 🔹Bao Buns of Soy-Ginger Braised Short Ribs with meat that melted in your mouth, so good! 🔹Chicken Pozole soup was my favorite! The flavors were incredible. 🔹Wildberry Lemonade with an added Poison apple cube was very refreshing, loved it! For dessert we tried 3 different options. 🔹Double chocolate Ice Cream sundae ok twist my arm, yummy! 🔹Pumpkin Gelato sundae which for me the caramel sauce was the star of the show. As you know I’m not a big pumpkin flavor fan. 🔹But honestly my favorite dessert was from the kids meal. The Hazelnut Crunch Mickey pop was my favorite! Overall my first experience from the amazing service to the top notch food was unforgettable. So many questions about this delightful treat I picked up a few weeks ago from GCH Craftsman Grill at the Grand Californian hotel. Behold the giant M&M brownie 🙌🏻 pool views not included 😭 It’s no secret how much I love the peanut butter blondie from GCH Craftsman Grill. (Swipe to see that beauty) so when I saw this sitting next to it I had to try it in hopes that it would be just as fantastic! I’m here to report while the peanut butter blondie is still my favorite but this one was really good! I took it home to share with my family and they agreed! 👍🏻👍🏻 One of the BEST off property little hidden gems, GCH Craftsman Grill, has lots of snacks plus it’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Don’t forget you can mobile order here and use a Disney gift card! This dining option is NOT just for hotel guests. It’s located just inside the Grand Californian hotel near the Grizzly River Run ride. Exit Disney California Adventure and head into the hotel. Swipe to see a map. There is also an entrance through Downtown Disney for everyone next to the Dress Shop. So even if you don’t have a ticket to the parks you can grab this treat and others at GCH Craftsman Grill. If you're traveling with kids to Disneyland who are picky eaters I have the key to keeping your child or maybe even one of the adults happy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🧾 I have complied a list of foods that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. Food options like macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, chicken tenders/nuggets and more. 🌭The list was created by food type and then everywhere you can find that particular item in both parks.
