“You are a famous race car? A real race car?” 🏎️ Cars Land was truly a dream! I only watched Cars (and then Cars 2 and Cars 3) within the last year or so and was surprised by how much I loved it. It’s funny, charming and filled with excellent vocal performances, it has honestly joined my favourite Pixar movies now! And this is all thanks to my future brother in law @braydendpurdy sharing this film with me 🚘 We spent a chunk of our Disney’s California Adventure day in Cars Land and rode all the rides there twice. We rope dropped Radiator Springs Racers and then went back and rode single rider as the sun set to then watch the neons come on as it got dark

They’re up bright and early anyway, so why not seize the day? I aim to breeze through security by 7:30am, meaning if you’re parking in the structure, aim to arrive by 7:10-7:15. If I’m strolling in from a nearby hotel, I’ve got a little secret – I pre-order pancakes from IHOP the night before, or swing by Panera Bread or McDonald’s conveniently located just outside the park gates. By 7:30am, the lines move swiftly. Once inside, I grab a prime spot on a bench nearest to the rope drop area of choice, where we indulge in a delightful breakfast feast to fuel up for the adventures ahead. May 11th will bring the return of two Disneyland guided tours, and oh my GOODNESS how quickly I added these to my Disneyland Bucket List! “Disneyland Railroad Tour” and “Cultivating the Magic Tour” both offer participants a guided walk around Disneyland, with the chance to get some behind-the-scenes views as well as insight and stories. The Disneyland Railroad Tour brings guests aboard the Lilly Belle, which is a true piece of Disneyland history. The Cultivating the Magic Tour visits and gives exclusive insight into the flora of the park, which is enough to make any Disney-loving plant parent’s heart burst. Guests will be able to make reservations for these tours beginning April 30th. Remember that you DO need to have a Disneyland ticket and reservation for the day of your tour!!

The Blue Bayou is a highly sought-after dining reservation at Disneyland Park. 🏴☠️✨ Now, reservations can be a tricky business, but here’s a tip: book exactly 60 days in advance right when they open at 6am PT. These dining reservations go QUICK, so you have to be on top of it. Or, if you have me as your travel planner, I’ll take care of them for you! 🥰 (I don’t want to jinx it, but I’ve always been able to get reservations for my clients!) One tip - make sure you get your reservation as close to opening time as possible if you want near-water seating. They fill those tables first and it’s easier to get a table near the water first thing than later on in the day. You’ve got to try the Monte Cristo, Chicken Gumbo, and Creme Brulee - they are all so delicious! If you’re like me and you want the Pommes Frites (garlic parmesan fries), you can only get those with the Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans - they have very similar menus.
