Little Tokyo Market Place at Night Los Angeles - Dec 28, 2021 It wasn't as empty as this picture makes it look, but it was an empty night at the market I usually walk to from our place. This place is Korean-owned and sells a really interesting, eclectic mix of mostly Korean and Japanese products to serve the more elderly population of the neighborhood, alongside more hipster-y products like kombucha on tap and plenty of free range, organic, etc. etc. etc. stuff. And I suppose kimchi is right at the center of these two worlds, at the moment. Why is the vegan section directly across from the meat case? I don't know. But over the years I have noticed that this place keeps a surprisingly good pulse on the demographics of the neighborhood. 📷: Olympus 35 RC 🎞: Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400 This place has also been upgrading their lighting and it is pretty damn bright in there. Bright enough to comfortably shoot film in there at reasonable shutter speeds. Better known for hair applications, Jojoba is actually a liquid wax that’s the closest thing out there to our natural skin sebum ... cool, huh? Jojoba is loaded with lovely polyphenols and this oil has actually been studied quite a bit. Findings conclude that it is shown to significantly soften skin!
