This is a beautiful venomous Copperhead unedited. The pinks and orange are its natural coloring and so beautiful. My good friend Benjamin A. England relocated this beauty with such care in assuring the snake was not stressed at all and no one was in danger. I am always amazed at his snake whispering abilities. He let us come by and photograph this guy in a natural setting while he managed the snake so I could get close enough to photograph. This is an Eastern Calligrapher Syrphid. I find it interesting that their colors are set based on the ambient temperature during their pupal period... for instance if it was hot the yellow/orange increases and the background lightens. They dont have specific pollen carrying structures but are still considered pollinators as they feed on pollen and nectar. This is a Dark Paper Wasp or Northern Paper Wasp on Goldenrod. They sucked me in with those beautiful yellow eyes. While they are typically not aggressive unless protecting their home the sting is milder than many but has been described as "pouring a beaker of hydrochloric acid on a papercut"... Ok I will come clean.. there is a contest for a travel tripod and it looks pretty cool so I figured #whatthahell #mightaswell #playwithsomeediting when I feel up to it here at the house this is obviously a dragonfly. It was actually the size of Falcor but she wansnt up for any rides and her forth wing being sore her old friend coming out of the ground after 2 years of larvae stage. The thing I like most about #veterenspark in #hooveralabama is what they left alone. By allowing diverse plant and wildlife they have really saved a small portion of this park that I believe would make #frankspain proud.
