It was actually the size of Falcor but she wansnt up for any rides and her forth wing being sore her old friend coming out of the ground after 2 years of larvae stage. When I started making room in my heart 🖤 to enjoy the simple blessings in life my world opened up to a world of beauty. Most of you know I have battled with anxiety and depression most of my life. I did not understand how people could be happy. This spring I started taking pictures with my phone as a distraction from things around me. What I found is I begin to enjoy all these little things As my positivity increased I could tell that those around me were uplifted as well because of it. I allowed myself to enjoy their excitement and joy and that just multiplied positivity in me. As promised, my very non glamorous way I attract #greatblueskimmer #dragonflies At first most of the dragonflies I captured 📸 were around my fence🚧 I made for the #mygarden 🌺 As I did my research 🤓I found this particular #insect perches around bodies of water🏖 waiting to mate 🤫 I have a 15 gallon tub that I use to hopefully off-gas tap water 💧(is this possible? ) before i use it in the garden due to inconsistent rain🌧 Moving it between a maple tree🍁 with perches in the shade and this bush🌳 I think it's a hydrangea 🤷♂️with the perch shown in figure 2 along with my high class pond🏞 and my best buddy rexx 🐺 If you notice you can find skimmer dragonflies on antennas of cars 🚘that are either really shiny or have a sunroof 🌅 Nothing fancy or special just a lot of luck and blessed, truly thankful 🙏🖤 for the chance to quiet my soul so I can see these things again #kagedphotography #kagedblogs #theorganicoutlaw #attractingdragonflies #rexxisthebestest #rextiposition #rexxipoo • • •

"I am not what happened to me I am what I chose to be" -Carl Jung I love this quote and what it stands for but it left me feeling incomplete in that I need to accept myself as a whole in order to myself take action to be who I choose to be leading me to "I do NOT have to be what happened to me, The mistakes I have made, Or what other percieve me to be; I CAN be who I chose to be.." We must not only accept and forgive what had been done to us but accept and forgive what we have done to ourselves. We also must let go of what others think or may think about us. Today's challenge is to take 5 or 10 mins reflect on 1 or 2 of your own faults, forgiving yourself for those faults as well as working towards improving them. I am going to work on this with you in order to grow and be the man I not only want, and choose, to be but the man I NEED to be. I have struggled with some sort of depression most of my life. When people would tell me things like this quote it was so frustrating to me because I could not understand how to think positive. What I learned was to start simple; take pleasure in the little things. Sypsey Shakedown Pt.2 The water in the small streams and rivers are so clear you can easily capture a reflection just about at every turn. A caterpillar decided to visit a hikers shoulder strap. Not that they have good taste in gear. My old dana... let me say I think I may love you now more than ever. In this humidity and the back pad foam being the only thing gone it was much cooler yet handled the weight and felt just like home. Because the water was so low and trails difficult to navigate I decided to enjoy the stream hiking down till I found a place to crash. Kept it simple just tarp/poncho and sheet. Jetboil to purify water and cooked in an old pot on the fire Next morning on the way out via stream came across some beautiful residents. Some more terrifying than others. Tress were down but water was so low it didn't matter.
