Ellary Day loved dancing Paquita at @yagp Finals. Thank you @masterballetacademy . This post is for my daughter to look back at as I am so proud of her dedication & growth.This year Ellary Day juggles 2 very intense dance schools, goes to in-person school while maintaining straight As (& handling so many make ups), commutes over one hour to dance, & tries to embrace every minute of her win as Best Dancer for The Dance Awards (this has her traveling most weekends). Despite these commitments, she had a goal to focus on her ballet, & not just on a variation but rather all the tiny details that help make an aspiring ballerina. Her growth has been spectacular. I can only imagine what she can accomplish once she has more time & opportunities. Tears come to my eyes when I think of all she has done to show her dedication & all the hard work she has put forth. The sacrifices, late nights, early mornings…However, her love for her art is just incredible. A smile comes too as I love seeing her do what she loves so much & I do believe she is on the right track with hopefully a promising future ahead of her. Thank you to all who believe in her so fiercely. Thank you to all who have helped her & care for her. She has such a huge heart that I’m not too surprised at the friends she makes along the way, but the older talents who have taken their time to encourage & mentor her are so kind. The never before can happen. In disbelief and with extreme gratitude, Ellary Day and Sylvie Win got to make the Top 3 Mini Best Dancers at the @thedanceawards along side an incredible @starsdanceco dancer @anitavdancer . So many dancers work tirelessly. So many have undeniable passion for what they do. So many shine so bright. We are so thankful for this opportunity. Ellary Day and Sylvie Win tried to live up every second of the improv, recompete, and the whole week we call the “Dance Olympics.” We cannot express enough gratitude to all who have helped my girls.Ellary Day’s first convention was 24/Seven when she was 5. Her teacher Miss Jordan saw something special in her & brought her. She wore a swimming suit. (I was a swimmer & wanted Day to follow my path; we had lots of fancy suits.) After that, there was no turning back. She lived for dance & has had quite a journey even at this age. Thank you to each person who has invested in her & helped her (& then Sylvie Win when she was old enough). I am in complete awe over the help, support, training, & kindness we have received.
