Did you know you can enjoy an Ethiopian inspired Injera Basket at Walt Disney World? You can enjoy this entree at Jiko — The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. 🦒 This dish features seasonal stews, which at this current time was a lentil stew, chickpea stew, and a greens with mushroom stew. It also came with harissa, a tomato and onion salad, and candied kumquats. My favorite was the greens with some harissa with each bite. This was a fun entree to enjoy, but the appetizers here are the real stars. Toledo Tapas, Steak, & Seafood - Coronado Springs 💃🏻 Hands down one of our favorite places to eat on property! The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is stunning, and the views are expansive. They also have a gin drink here called the Gran Gala and it is not to be missed! 🥂 💃🏻 There are plenty of options for GF and GF/DF 🌱 While we did not get the vegan entree this time, our friend @glutenfreedairyfreedisney had it this same night and stated it was great! 💃🏻 The substitute GF bread is Udi’s brand. It does contain egg so know this going in if you are GF/vegan. 🍅 Pan con Tomate is our favorite appetizer here. I did not get it this time as we were staying Club Level and had this every evening. ❤️ 🍇 The chicken is a dish worth considering. It was recommended in the Michelin Guide and is a definite sleeper. 🥗 The salad pictured here was… interesting. The poached egg seemed just dropped on the bottom piece of lettuce. The anchovy were little drops under the romaine leaves. This means it was a very strong flavor on the bottom pieces, but not well mixed through the rest. Again… interesting. 🤷♀️ 🍰 The Mickey dessert is actually on the kids menu.. it’s yummy! The other dessert is new and is GF/vegan. I cannot tell you properly how good this is. Wowza!! Magic Kingdom was so much fun! The weather was perfect and it was the most beautiful day to walk around and play. For dinner I really wanted to try the vegan skillet at Wilderness Lodge. It was great! Our favorite part was the cornbread and burn ends.
Disney Springs ✨ Having only been to Disneyland Paris, this felt like the Disney Village on steroids (and some). On our last trip we visited twice, both during the day and at night; and it’s safe to say if you’re someone who gets overstimulated by a lot of people (like me), maybe stick to the day time 🥲 but, the atmosphere in the evening with all the live music playing was amazing, and thankfully the shops were a little less crowded so it was still very enjoyable! We spent the evening mooching, eating lots of food and got a beautiful print from the Disney art shop too, which is now hanging in our wall. Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a ton of vegan quick service options. We recently ate at Restaurantosaurus in Dino-Land USA because they have an actual vegan kids option here for our son that isn’t an Uncrustables (he’s allergic to peanuts so that makes navigating kids options hard for us). This is the Impossible Spicy Southwestern Burger which is topped with vegan pepper jack cheese, a vegan chipotle sauce, lettuce and tomato. The kids Impossible Burger here is a little smaller and has no toppings. This burger is hit or miss. The Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival La Isla Fresca Outdoor Kitchen was just delicious. Nice flavor but not overly spicy, hearty enough for a meal, and plant based. The sweet papaya sauce outside really tied it all together. I hope it stays on the menu! Takumi Tei 3/2/2024 Plant-based Omakase Menu “Hasu” Course 1: Zensai Moriawase (appetizer platter) •dumpling, seaweed salad, edamame Course 2: Sushi platter •red pepper roll, shiitake mushroom roll, asparagus roll, soy wrap with avocado Course 3: Shusai •deep fried tofu, black rice, carrots, mushrooms, tsuyu dressing This was our favorite! The sauce was phenomenal and the tofu was almost caramelized making it sweet and savory. Course 4: Yuba roll •beancurd skin rolled with daikon, cucumber, yuzu koshō dressing Course 5: Yasai Tempura •seasonal vegetable tempura served with warm soba noodles The tempura came with yuzu salt that was tangy/citrusy, we loved this. The noodles were tasty but very heavy for this meal. Course 6: Ocha to Kanmi (tea and sweets) •table side green tea ceremony •strawberry yuzu sorbet and shiso jelly •monaka daifuku with ice cream and kinako crumble The monaka daifuku was our favorite (Perry ordered it and traded with me since it was better 🥹). You had to assemble it yourself which was fun! We put the black sesame ice cream and kinako crumble into the monaka wafer shell. We did the sake pairing + at the end they brought out a drink with cute fizzing sugar stars for my birthday! We were seated in the stone room, which has only about 4 tables, and we were the only party in there.

Oh boy where to begin with my thoughts about the impossible Jamaican beef patty from the La Isla Fresca booth at the Flower and garden festival. First I will say I really enjoyed the flavors. the vegan meat was delicious and so was the sauce. it was spicy but kept me wanting to eat more. However the one that I got was hard as a rock it was impossible to cut or bite into. On top of that my beef patty was more air than anything else which according to the image on the booklet was not supposed to be the case. I really wanted to like this and I would recommend trying if you love spicy food but I’m hoping that I just got a bad one out of the bunch. Let me know if you have had similar experiences with this item. What we ate around Disney Springs & Resorts. After my husband was done working we had the afternoon to explore. We walked all over... through Disney Springs, the Boardwalk, Disney's resorts. Also rode ferries, bus, monorail, skyline, and other free stuff ♡ -Enchanted Rose, Grand Floridian Resort: We ordered drinks and the hummus. Just check with the server or read what liquors are vegan as they do have a few cream based and drinks with campari that are not vegan. The only vegan item on the menu was the hummus with pita. The hummus was pretty delicious! A great flavor with spices, tapenade, and crispy chickpeas. The pita that came with it was a bit underwhelming. The hummus was definitely the star. -Trader Sam's Grotto, Polynesian Resort: We ordered the spikey pineapple (vegan dole whip pineapple ice cream with rum, extra shot on top) and the mai thai. Drinks were absolutely delicious! Only vegan item on the menu was the tofu lettuce wraps. It was ok. A nice healthy snack. Kind of pricy and underwhelming. The highlight of this dish were the pickled vegetables! -Everglazed Donuts, Disney Springs: The Ube Donut Ube donut is super fluffy, light, and a little crunchy with sugar crystals on the outside. A must buy if in Disney Springs! -Erin McKenna, Disney Springs: Delicious vegan, GF sugar cinnamon donut. Its moist and cakey and not overly sweet despite the sugar. Everything we ate at Disney. We decided the day before to go to Disney because the ticket prices are insane. We did not make any reservations, so snacked all day between Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Magic Kingdom - Mickey Pretzel (ask for no cheese for vegan): just because you kind of have to! Fun Mickey shape but your standard pretzel. We ate it with mustard packs. Epcot has an all plant-based garden graze passport of quick bites all across Epcot until May 27 - Festival treat: What you get if you complete the passport of five items, you get a fun frozen treat and a pack of wildflower seeds. So tart and refreshing from the citrus with vegan dole whip♡ -Street Corn: We favored more savory choices. The corn was fresh and delicious! -Meatball: The meatball and filling was delicious! Only thing we did not like was the stale tasting wrap. -Buffalo Chicken Poutine: Totally not a poutine but still delicious! On the more substantial size of all of the offerings. It was also a bit spicy♡ -Jamaican Patty: Not on the graze menu but the coconut tres leche is! You can buy both at the same stand. This was a personal favorite♡ So savory, hint of sweetness, and a kick of heat♡ -Coconut Tres Leche: delicious! But not anything mind blowing. Kind of tasted like pound cake and cool whip. -Potato pancake with apple sauce: Who knew this combo is amazing!
