• FROM THE HEART PEBBLE ART • Hi! I’m Jules, the artist behind From the Heart Pebble Art. I’m a small town girl, born and raised in the community of Clearwater - the gateway to the world renowned Wells Gray Park. Living amongst pristine nature has given me a constant source of appreciation and inspiration. I began creating pebble art in 2018, collecting beach finds from the shores of oceans, lakes and rivers. I’ve also been known to up-cycle broken vintage dishes in my work! Throughout the years, my art style has evolved to become minimalistic. Creating with as few materials as possible allows the viewer to appreciate the textures and shapes, while still telling an impactful story with my art. Each “imperfectly perfect” pebble, tiny bit of sea glass or weathered piece of driftwood is thoughtfully chosen and carefully arranged. We've had a large influx of new followers so we think it's time to reintroduce ourselves! The BC Aviation Museum is located at 1910 Norseman Road, on the side of the Victoria International Airport. Started over 35 years ago, the BCAM has grown to 400 members and over 125 volunteers! Over the last couple of years we were able to add three important paid roles within the museum. We've welcomed Conal, our Executive Director, Julia our Administration Manager and Darian our Intern and Artifacts Supervisor. Through their assistance and with an amazing core volunteer group, the BCAM has been fortunate to have had the previous years see exponential growth! Boasting over 30 aircraft on display, hundreds of artifacts, an interactive kids zone and restoration hangar (currently restoring a Lancaster bomber). Add that with the addition of the famous Hawaii Mars in the Fall of 2024, we are the aviation museum to check out on the west coast of Canada! This is a factory-built race car designed to run in the Touring Car Race (TCR) series. This is a first-generation model from Audi with a similar generation model winning the TCR series in 2017. The car is based on the Audi RS3 platform with a four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 330 horsepower. The power is transferred to the front-wheel drive car through a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) that predicts your next shift. The body has been widened to accommodate bigger brakes and wider tires. A front splitter, rear diffuser and rear spoiler have been added to give the car more downforce on cornering.
