The newly opened Vineyard Hotel at Mannings Heath is the perfect countryside getaway for wine lovers 🍇 @emmaswinetime invited us to check it out for an epic girls night where we had the hotel to ourselves and very much enjoyed the free standing bath 🛁 The rooms are beautifully finished and spacious. Exposed wooden beams give an old country manor feel and it’s so relaxing to wake up to green views out the window. There’s a restaurant onsite called The Vineyard Kitchen which serves up delicious small plates and charcuterie boards, which you can pair with beautiful wines from Benguela Cove - the South African winery that Mannings and Leonardslee are paired with. You’ve got to try the Petit Verdot, it is outstanding! The Vineyard Hotel is the home of Leonardslee Family Vineyards which will release its first English sparkling this summer!! I helped pick grapes at Leonardslee during harvest 2023 so I can’t wait to try it 🍾 Leonardslee Gardens are just 3 miles down the road and you can’t miss a visit when you’re there. If you book by end of May you get free entry to the gardens and right now they are in full bloom with rhododendrons! Amongst the flowers are loads of interesting sculptures which you can also buy. THE VINEYARD HOTEL… Throwback it back to a glorious stay @thevineyardhotel. This hotel has the most amazing wine cellar holding around 30,000 bottles of wine. So the selection on offer doesn’t disappoint. In addition to their amazing wines, the restaurant serves up a stunning array of fine dining dishes to tantalise the tastebuds. We enjoyed one of their tasting menus and every course wowed us. The accommodation is understated and elegant in its design. Our suite was spacious with a large and comfortable bed. The perfect retreat after a glorious meal and a few too many wines.
